Jailbreak tweaks of the week: Tulipe, VerticalBatteryDrain, & more…

Many new iPhone owners are enjoying all the latest features of iOS 16 paired with the Dynamic Island and all the latest features of Apple’s iPhone 14 & 14 Pro lineups. But jailbreakers know to stay far away…

Despite running older versions of iOS on older handsets, many of the new features in iOS 16 and on the newer handsets are achievable via jailbreak tweaks. With that in mind, upgrading firmware or device and losing a jailbreak isn’t a viable option.

For those sticking with their jailbreaks, we’ve compounded a roundup of the latest jailbreak tweak releases and related news spanning the week of Monday, September 12th to Sunday, September 18th. As usual, we’ll kick things off with a closer look at our favorite stuff first, and then wrap things up with an outline of everything else afterward.

Our favorite releases this week

Tulipe – FREE

You can accomplish some really sick aesthetics on your jailbroken iPhone’s Lock Screen user interface with the new Tulipe jailbreak tweak.

With it, you can apply custom effects to the date and time in both light and dark modes individually, including colors, fonts, positioning, and more.

You can learn about all the possibilities you have with Tulipe in our full review post.

VerticalBatteryDrain – FREE

The new VerticalBatteryDrain jailbreak tweak causes the Status Bar’s battery level indicator to drain its full vertically from top-to-bottom instead of horizontally from right-to-left.

While the effect is purely aesthetic, it’s enough to turn some heads, and perhaps to help spark some conversations regarding how you were able to do such a thing. This can get more people onboard with jailbreaking.

You can learn more about VerticalBatteryDrain in our full review post.
