Some of the best jailbreak tweaks for respringing & rebooting iOS 14

Jailbreaking your iPhone or iPad means that you’ll spend a lot of time modding your handset’s appearance or behavior, and many of the add-ons that make this possible will necessitate some type of a refresh to take effect, be it a reboot or a respring.

Because these functions are essential to jailbreaking, it only seemed fitting to devise a curated list of what we believe are some of the best jailbreak tweaks for upgrading the reboot and/or respring functionality of jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 14 devices.

If you’re ready to dive into our list, then begin your scrolling journey below:

The best jailbreak tweaks for respringing & rebooting iOS 14

LockShut – $1.00

LockShut is a powerful weapon against thieves who will want to shut down your iPhone to prevent you from tracking it via Find My iPhone, and this can be devastating if you’re jailbroken with a semi-tethered or semi-untethered jailbreak since the device will have to be re-jailbroken after the reboot cycle.

With LockShut, you can choose between various safeguard methods, such as: hiding the power down options outright, requiring some form of user authentication to move forward, or initiating a cunning fake shut down that will fool even some of the smartest thieves out there.

Dragspring – FREE

The ability to respring your jailbroken iPhone or iPad is important, especially when it comes to appending jailbreak tweak configurations or troubleshooting.

Dragspring is a no-brainer tweak that adds the ability to respring right to the Settings app. Simply drag down from the main page to reveal a “pull-to-refresh”-style respring interface.

PowerWidget – FREE

Everyone can appreciate simple jailbreak tweaks that integrate seamlessly with Apple’s native operating system interfaces, and PowerWidget is a prime example of one of those.

Just as the name implies, PowerWidget provides a widget for iOS 14’s native Home Screen widget handler that lends power options to the end user. Options include respringing, rebooting, entering Safe Mode, and performing a UICache command.

Power Options – FREE

While widgets are always cool, anyone who prefers a less flashy aesthetic might want something subtler, such as Power Options.

This tweak provides many of the same options as PowerWidget, including many others, such as SBReload, Reboot Userspace, IdRestart, and more. All these options are accessible from a pane hidden away in the Settings app.

PowerReach – $1.29

If you’re looking for yet another place to stash all those respring and power options, then PowerReach can put them in the unused area of the Reachability interface.

PowerReach is yet another highly configurable jailbreak tweak that makes device powering options like SBReload, Safe Mode, UICache, Userspace Reboot, and more easier to access from a place you’d least expect it.

Everything you need to know about PowerReach can be found in our full review post.

SettingsButtons – FREE

SettingsButtons is another take on providing easily-accessible power options in a convenient place, and it uses the navigation bar of the Settings app to do just that.

As you’ll see in the screenshot representation, this tweak provides buttons for respringing, entering Safe Mode, and switching between dark and light mode on demand.

NoPassAfterRespring (Safe) – FREE

I’ve always disliked the inconvenience associated with having to authenticate myself after every respring I perform, and much of that comes from just how often I respring my iPhone on a daily basis from the number of jailbreak tweaks I test out.

Of course, if you feel the same way, then a free jailbreak tweak called NoPassAfterRespring (Safe) would be right up your alley because it prevents you from being required to enter a passcode or authenticate yourself after respringing your handset.
