Best iPhone stands for FaceTime on Apple TV

It’s really easy to use FaceTime on your Apple TV, which allows you to chat face-to-face with friends and loved ones on the biggest screen in the house. All you need is an iPhone (or iPad) and an Apple TV 4K (2nd gen) or later, running on the latest software. You’re also going to want some sort of iPhone stand, so you can remain hands-free while chatting. More specifically you’re going to want a stand that holds your iPhone steady, at a proper angle for making video calls, and fortunately we happen to know of a few good ones. Here are the best iPhone stands for FaceTime on Apple TV.

The best iPhone stands for FaceTime on Apple TV

Stouchi Continuity Camera Mount

This is technically more of a clip than a stand, but it essentially serves the same purpose and it’s our favorite accessory on this list. It clips to the top of your TV set (or computer display) and attaches to your iPhone via MagSafe. Our own Sebastien uses his Stouchi regularly and describes it as extremely sturdy — not some flimsy plastic stuff — with strong magnets. He also notes that it should fit most LED TVs, thick or thin, so no need to go out and buy a whole new set just to work with this clip.

Lisen Adjustable Phone and Tablet Stand

For a more conventional stand, check out this one from Lisen. It sits flat and can hold your iPhone or tablet (max 10″) at the perfect viewing angle. This may look like your average cheap stand, but we like it for a few reasons. The biggest is obviously that it’s adjustable: its height can be adjusted from 7.1 inches to 8.5 inches, and the angle can adjust between 5 and 85 degrees. It also has a weighted base to keep it from sliding as you load and unload your device, a notch in the cradle for a charging cable, and it’s by far the least expensive stand on this list.

Klsniur Flexible Goosneck Stand

Here is another stand that appears repetitious, but if you want something with even more adjustability, it’s worth a look. Obviously its main feature is the Goosneck arm, which is flexible and can be adjusted to virtually any position. Your phone is held in a clamp, which has an anti-scratch silicone mat to protect your phone, and the clamp is positioned on a swivel ball head that can rotate 360 degrees. It’s denoted as a popular choice on Amazon for folks looking to record hands-free video, and it gets solid customer reviews (verified via FakeSpot).

Belkin iPhone MagSafe Continuity Camera Mount

belkin continuity camera mount

This Belkin camera mount is sort of the unofficial-official Continuity Camera mount, endorsed by Apple when it originally introduced the Continuity Camera feature for Mac. Like the aforementioned Stouchi, the Belkin clips onto the top of your TV or display, and attaches to your iPhone via MagSafe. The thing is these types of mounts are great if you don’t have any open flat surfaces around your TV for a traditional stand, but if your TV sits up too high or too low, that could obviously create a problem. Just something to consider when buying — and for what it’s worth, if you do end up going mount, we like the Stouchi better at $15 less.

Sikvio Smart Face Tracking Phone Stand

tracking FaceTime stand

If we’re being honest, you don’t need this stand. FaceTime on Apple TV can utilize Apple’s Center Stage feature, which means the camera will always focus on you — even when you move around. But this thing just looks cool, and it just felt right to include a way over-the-top option on this roundup. As the name suggests, this stand can track you around the room and move your iPhone’s camera to wherever you are, and it even comes with a remote for…remote activation. It’s worth noting that some reviewers complained about the motor being too loud, and the tracking getting shaky if you move too fast. But if you’re up for a bit of gamble, you certainly get a lot for your money here.
