Love it or hate it, the notch seems like it’s here to stay for the foreseeable future, but there’s no shortage of jailbreak tweaks that can either glorify the notch with augmented features or make it disappear entirely.

At the top of our list today is Notchification, a slick jailbreak tweak that augments the notification experience on notch-equipped devices with incredible animations that surround the notch when you receive a notification.

Among one of my favorites is the responsive particles animation, which appears even when the rest of the display is turned off to let me know that I have a missed notification before I even wake my display. It looks best on OLED-equipped displays.

noNotch – FREE

Completely hate the notch? Think it’s a disgrace to Apple’s brand? If so, then you might want a tweak that hides it from you entirely.

With noNotch, you won’t have to look at your notch ever again. It hides the notch behind black pixels by moving the entire user interface of your iOS below the notch, and then it rounds the corners of the interface to look more natural.

NotchBanners – $1.99

Love your notch, but wish Apple did more to glorify it on the iOS mobile platform? NotchBanners might be a good fit for you.

Just as the name suggests, NotchBanners makes your banner notifications the same width as the notch on your device, so it looks like your banners are actually originating from the notch itself before rescinding back into the notch post-timeout.

KBPro – FREE

KBPro is less about the notch itself and more about the keyboard user experience on notch-equipped handsets.

One thing you’ll notice about the keyboard on these handsets is that there’s always a lot of empty space under the space bar. KBPro fills that space with useful text editing shortcuts that can improve your power usage.

UniZoom – FREE

Got a pet peeve with how the YouTube app zooms into videos on notched handsets? More specifically, do you hate how it zooms in all the way to make it look like someone took a very straight bite out of the side of your video?

UniZoom is a free jailbreak tweak that adjusts the YouTube app’s zoom feature so that the notch never hinders your video playback.

Sadly, being able to see the numeric battery percentage in your Status Bar ended when the notch came to fruition. Personally, I don’t understand why Apple did away with it, as I was an avid user of this feature on older iPhones.

Thanks to jailbreaking, however, I don’t need to worry about it anymore. That’s because EnableBatteryPercentrevives the feature on notched handsets, and it does so in an aesthetically pleasing way.

CamControls X – FREE

CamControls X is another jailbreak tweak that doesn’t directly interact with the notch, but rather was made specifically for notched devices to make the user’s experience even better.

Specifically, this tweak moves all the Camera app’s major photography controls to the bottom of the app so that they’re easier to reach with just one hand. This is particularly useful given just how much taller the displays of notched handsets are than those without notches.

And since notification banners tend to pop up right near the notch, it was inevitable that we’d see yet another notification-centric tweak on this list.

BoardBanner13 is a tweak that redesigns the way notifications look on notched handsets — more specifically, in such a way that they fill the empty space on either side of the notch.
