CCDND brings the no-nonsense dedicated Do Not Disturb toggle back to Control Center

Remember the good ol’ days when you could just open Control Center and tap on a dedicated Do Not Disturb toggle to silence all your notifications? Yeah… we do too.

In recent years, Apple has complicated the whole idea behind Do Not Disturb with Focus modes, and this includes making the Focus Control Center module larger than it needs to be and making the hit box for turning Do Not Disturb mode on even smaller.

iOS developer 0xkuj wanted to fix that and has since released a free CCSupport jailbreak tweak called CCDND that brings the original no-nonsense Do Not Disturb toggle button back to the Control Center interface, as shown in the screenshot examples above.

If you are keeping the original Focus module in Control Center, then this may feel redundant, but you can actually hide the Focus module and keep the standalone Do Not Disturb mode toggle in its place for a simpler user experience.

Once installed, users will need to enable the CCDND toggle by visiting the Control Center preference pane in the Settings app — a relatively standard procedure for any CCSupport add-on:

Personally, I do not use Focus modes and I like having a simpler Do Not Disturb toggle that’s both easier to tap and takes up less space in Control Center. Those who feel the same can get CCDND for free from the YouRepo repository via their favorite package manager app. This add-on supports jailbroken iOS 16 devices.
