Jailbreak tweaks of the week: Cask 3, Icarus, Next Music, SpeakerFirst, & more…

It’s Sunday again, and with that comes our weekly jailbreak-centric roundup encompassing all the latest jailbreak tweak releases and pwnage-oriented news.

In this week’s roundup, we go over all the latest jailbreak tweak releases and news breaks spanning Monday, November 29th to Sunday, December 5th.

As usual, we’ll kick things off by discussing our favorite releases first and then wrap things up with an outline of everything else afterward. So without further ado, let’s get into it!

Our favorite releases this week

Cask 3 – FREE

Cask 3 is a magnificent addition to any jailbroken iPhone running iOS 14, as it can make scrolling animations more exciting to use on a regular basis.

This tweak works with all celled apps, including Cydia and Settings, and offers a plethora of custom scrolling animations to pick from.

You can learn more about Cask 3 and what it brings to the table in our full review post.

CCDNDTimer – FREE

Do Not Disturb is a very useful feature on iOS and iPadOS because it can isolate the user from notification-based distractions.

Users can schedule Do Not Disturb for a repetitive time cycle each day or enable it manually, but they can’t yet initiate timed Do Not Disturb sessions on a stock device. CCDNDTimer changes that.

You can read all about CCDNDTimer and how it works in our full review post.

Icarus – FREE

As useful as the App Switcher is, it’s still pretty boring in its native state. That’s why a jailbreak tweak called Icarus was conceived.

With Icarus, users can enjoy unique App Store animations, power features, and a dedicated Home Screen widget.

You can learn more about Icarus and how it works in our full review post.

Next Music – FREE

If you use your iPhone as a music player, then Next Music is a handy new jailbreak tweak that can boost your music discovery.

It works by displaying a small Toast-style notification banner when the Now Playing track changes, and it displays data about what’s playing.

You can learn all about Next Music and how it works in our full review post.

SpeakerFirst – FREE

Hate how tapping on your call interface’s speaker phone button prompts a menu for you to choose an audio device instead of simply switching to speaker mode? I do too.

SpeakerFirst is a free jailbreak tweak that changes this function so thus tapping on the speaker phone button always enables speaker phone mode on the first tap. It’s ideal for when you’re driving and talking on the phone, as it reduces your interactions with the device when you’re behind the wheel.

You can read all about SpeakerFirst and how it works in our full review post.

Telescope – FREE

Telescope is an incredible jailbreak tweak for iOS 14 users because it ports a handy feature that comes native on iOS 15 — that’s the ability to view detailed data about particular photographs in your Photo Library.

Among the types of information you can view are the type of device that captured the photograph, when and where it was captured, and image resulting and file type, among other things.

You can read all about Telescope in our full review post.
