Each Sunday, iDB takes all of the jailbreak-oriented news and tweak releases and complies it all into one easy-to-read outline so that our readers never miss a beat. This Sunday will be no different in that respect.
Today’s roundup will go over all the latest jailbreak content spanning the week of Monday, May 30th to Sunday, June 5th. We begin by discussing our favorite releases first and wrap things up with an outline of everything else afterward.
So without further ado, let’s jump right in.
Our favorite releases this week
Bounds – $2.50
Bounds is a new jailbreak tweak that makes screen recording on iPhones and iPads more like it is on macOS by allowing users to designate a specific portion of the display to record rather than recording the entire thing.
Bounds also lets users save preset recording parameters so that that can be used over again in the future, and can be colorized however the user wants.
You can learn more about Bounds and how to use it in our full review post.
Other releases this week
iPodify: Change iPhone in strings to iPod (free via Mario Cheung’s repository)
WARemove999Limit: When you receive more than 999 notifications in the WhatsApp Messenger app, you will see a “999+” badge. This tweak lets the badge display more than 999 (free via 0xkuj repository)
Everything else from this week
Best Novelty Jailbreak Tweaks: iDB showcases what we believe are some of the best jailbreak tweaks for adding novelty features to your jailbroken iOS or iPadOS 14 device.
Hyperixa: The Hyperixa took 50% off of all paid jailbreak tweaks this week for a 48-hour window to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
openpwnage: The new semi-untethered openpwnage jailbreak tool can be used to jailbreak 32-bit devices running iOS 9.0 beta 1 through iOS 9.3.6, and is currently in its beta stages.
Root Password Change with NewTerm 2: We show you how to use the NewTerm 2 mobile terminal app on a jailbroken device to change the root password.
Saily: The Saily package manager app received an update to address app crashes and iOS 15 SDK support.
That brings this week’s jailbreak roundup to a close, but we’ll be right back next Sunday with a similar roundup comprised of all the latest content you won’t want to miss for the upcoming work week.
