Jailbreak news of the week: Dopamine and palera1n updates, SiriPlus, Sushi, TrollRecorder, & more…

One of the big things we do here at iDownloadBlog is keep up with the latest developments in the iPhone and iPad jailbreak communities so that our readers know about everything that may be possible with their hacked devices.

Weekly jailbreak news roundup.

We care about keeping our readers informed so much that we create detailed weekly roundups like this one that help fill in the cracks for people who might miss important news posts as they happen during the busy work week. That said, this roundup encompasses the week of Monday, March 4th to Sunday, March 10th.

Without any further ado, let’s dive right into what this past week brought us in terms of iPhone & iPad hacking and jailbreaking news.

Important stuff from this week

Dopamine updates

palera1n updates

Palera1n jailbreak.

The palera1n checkm8 bootrom exploit-based semi-tethered rootless jailbreak for arm64 devices (A8-A11) running iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.x and iPadOS 17.x received important updates this past week to address stability.

The TrollStore perma-signing utility received updates this past week that further improve the platform with bug fixes & stability improvements.

You can learn more about what’s new in the latest TrollStore releases below:

SiriPlus

SiriPlus replaces Siri with ChatGPT or Google Gemini.

It’s no longer a question that iOS & iPadOS’ Siri voice assistant is being left in the dust by artificial intelligence. In fact, that may well explain why iOS & iPadOS 18 are expected to integrate more AI than any update before them.

But if you’re currently jailbroken and wish that you could have access to these powerful tools right now without any wait, then you’re in luck. SiriPlus is a new jailbreak tweak that replaces Siri with either ChatGPT or Gemini, whichever you prefer.

You can learn more about SiriPlus in our full review post.

TrollRecorder

Screenshots of the TrollRecorder application.

TrollRecorder is an impressive add-on for the TrollStore perma-signing utility that lets users record their incoming and outgoing phone calls without a jailbreak.

Most of the features of this app can be used for free, but by purchasing the full license for the app, you can unlock premium features that you’re definitely not going to want to miss out on.

You can find out more about TrollRecorder and what it can do in our full review post.

Fiona

Genesis 4

Genesis 4 is an all-in-one jailbreak tweak for customizing almost any part of the iOS or iPadOS 15 or 16 mobile operating systems.

The tweak offers an extensive list of options that range from the Home Screen, to the Status Bar, to the Dock, and so on.

You can learn more about what’s possible with the Genesis 4 jailbreak tweak in our full review post.

MoreComplications

MoreComplicatioks adds more widget rows to the iOS 16 Lock Screen.

You can normally only have two large widgets or four small widgets on the iOS 16 Lock Screen, but the new MoreComplications jailbreak tweak removes that restriction.

Once installed, you can add more rows of widgets to the Lock Screen so that you can take better advantage of the application widgets you’ve downloaded from the App Store instead of compromising and choosing which ones to use and and which ones not to use.

You can learn more about MoreComplications and how it works in our full review post.

Sushi

Sushi is a newly released Now Playing widget jailbreak tweak that gives you aesthetically pleasing music controls and information at a glance.

The tweak has been under development for some time, but it was officially time to release after adding support for the latest jailbreaks and rootless dynamics.

AirPodsCompanion

You can acquire improved access to changing listening modes via your AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, or certain Beats headphones with the help of the new AirPodsCompanion jailbreak tweak.

This tweak makes it easier to switch between Active Noise Cancellation mode, Adaptive Mode, or Transparency Mode with a new HUD interface, which can alternatively be configured to display Now Playing or headphone battery information.

You can learn more about AirPodsCompanion in our full review post.

TrollSpeed

TrollSpeed screenshot examples.

TrollSpeed is a TrollStore add-on that displays the current download and upload speeds of your device in the Status Bar.

The add-on accomplishes this task without a jailbreak, and the UI displays system-wide, without the need to keep an app open.

You can find out more about TrollSpeed and how it works in our full review post.

TrollPad

Example of TrollPad running on iPhone.

TrollPad is a unique add-on that can trick your jailbroken iPhone into thinking that it’s running iPadOS.

In doing so, features that are normally locked down to iPad models, especially higher-end later models, can now be used on your pwned iPhone, such as Stage Manager, the grid-like App Switcher, the floating Dock with recently-used apps and the App Library icon, and more.

You can learn all about TrollPad and where you can get it from in our full review post.

No2Theft iOS 16

No2Theft banner.

No2Theft iOS 16 is a jailbreak tweak for pwned iOS 16 devices that can help make it easier to discover who made off with your jailbroken iPhone the moment you realize it was stolen.

With it, the iPhone can fire an alarm when it unexpectedly falls victim to a thief, such as when it becomes disconnected from its charger without your permission, or when the passcode gets entered incorrectly too many times. You can also capture an image with the device’s front-facing camera to hopefully discover who the perpetrator is.

You can learn more about No2Theft iOS 16 and why it’s a great jailbreak tweak in our full review post.

Mooner

Mooner screenshot.

Mooner is a free alternative to the Lunar jailbreak tweak, giving users a redesigned Lock Screen on pwned iOS 15 and 16 devices.

Not only does it include a new font for the Lock Screen text, but it also lets you change the formatting for the date and time and change its positioning on the Lock Screen.

You can learn more about Mooner in our full review post.
