Jailbreak tweaks of the week: DockSearch, YTETA, & more…

Like clockwork, jailbreakers continue to rough out the annual drought that swings around this time of the year after Apple shakes things up with new software updates and product releases.

But not all is doom and gloom in the jailbreak community, as an upcoming untether planned for release later this month has a lot of jailbreakers excited about upgrading the capabilities of their existing pwned handsets.

More specifically, they’ll remain jailbroken even after rebooting their device without the need to connect to a computer.

In the meantime, iDownloadBlog remains committed to providing timely jailbreak tweak reviews and news coverage.

This roundup encompasses all the latest ones spanning the week of Monday, October 4th to Sunday, October 10th, and as usual, we’ll start with our favorites from this past week and outline everything else afterward.

Our favorite releases this week

DockSearch – $1.50

DockSearch is a useful jailbreak tweak that lets users search the web right from the comfort of their Home Screen.

The tweak adds an aesthetically pleasing search bar the Dock where users can type their queries. Users can also choose their preferred search engine for online searches.

You can learn more about DockSearch and how it works in our full review post.

YTETA – FREE

YTETA is a free add-on for the YouTube app that displays the exact time when the video you’re watching will finish.

While the tweak is certainly niche, it’s a good way to gauge whether you have the time to watch the video you’re currently watching if you’re using YouTube as a time killer amid waiting for something more important.

You can learn all about YTETA in our full review post.
