Dark GMaps, SmartTap X, TwitterLabs, and other jailbreak tweaks to try this weekend

Jailbreak Tweaks to check out

If you have a jailbroken handset, either by way of Electra or unc0ver, then you might want to know what you should install on it.

In this roundup, we’ll discuss all the jailbreak tweaks released in Cydia from Monday, November 12th to Sunday, November 18th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by talking about our favorite releases and then outline the rest afterward.

Our favorite releases this week

Dark GMaps – $1.10

Google Maps automatically darkens the map styling at night to make navigation easier on your eyes at night, but it’s a far cry from an official dark mode.

Dark GMaps solves this problem by integrating a full-featured dark mode into the Google Maps app that works with the entire user interface.

Dark GMaps is customizable, so you can choose your color scheme and change the tweak’s behavior.

SmartTap X – $2.29

SmartTap X is a brilliant jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Elias Limneos that brings the tap to wake feature from the iPhone X, XR, XS, and XS Max to older handsets that don’t typically support the function.

In addition to porting tap to wake, SmartTap X bundles a plethora of configuration settings so that you can customize the gesture used to wake your display, and so much more.

TwitterLabs – FREE

The official Twitter app isn’t so bad on its own, but you can make it much better with a new free jailbreak tweak called TwitterLabs.

TwitterLabs unlocks a bevy of internal settings that enable more in-depth customization of your personal account and app behavior.
