System Info, UnsplashWalls, and other jailbreak tweaks to check out this weekend

Although there’s been a lot of hype regarding the iPhone X lately, that’s not to say that many people aren’t still clenching onto their older jailbroken handsets. In fact, one hacker just demonstrated the world’s first-known iPhone X jailbreak at the POC2017 event this week.

In this roundup, we’ll discuss all the jailbreak tweaks released in Cydia during the past week. As usual, we’ll start things off by showcasing our favorites, and then we’ll outline all the rest of them afterward.

Our favorite releases this week

System Info – FREE

System Info is a new free jailbreak tweak that augments the Settings → General → About page on your iPhone or iPad. It adds a bevy of supplementary information to make the page more enlightening, but it also integrates some distinct new features that many might find useful.

For one, you can now copy information directly from the page, such as your UDID, IMEI, etc. Moreover, you can now get brief descriptions of many of the confusing readouts that you might not understand. Last but not least, System Info includes a way to save your device’s SHSH files locally on your mobile device.

UnsplashWalls – FREE

You undoubtedly get tired of the same old wallpaper day in and day out, but choosing a new wallpaper that actually looks good can be a challenging task. UnsplashWalls is a new jailbreak tweak that aims to change that.

This ultimately lets you change your wallpaper to a random image from the Unsplash stock image website on demand. You can assign an Activator gesture to change your wallpaper on the fly anytime you get tired of the one you’re already using.
