32% of iPhone 4 Traffic Now on Verizon

Way back before Apple deemed Verizon customers worthy of the iPhone, pundits and users alike suggested that bringing Apple's much-loved handset to another US carrier could see an explosion in sales. The rationale was that many Verizon customers did indeed want an iPhone, but were not willing to suffer AT&T in order to get one.

Since its release earlier this year, Apple has seen its Verizon handsets shift in huge quantities, and according to a new study, iPhones bought for Verizon's network now account for 32% of all US iPhone 4 handsets....

Verizon About to Drop iPhone 4 to $150?

Apple didn't surprise too many people when they didn't announce a new version of their popular smartphone last month. We've known since March that Apple wasn't planning on unveiling any new hardware at their WWDC conference.

A majority of the rumor mill points to an early fall release for the next iPhone, and we have a few reasons to believe that's accurate. It's been reported that Apple has already dropped supply orders in anticipation for the new model, now we're getting word of an iPhone 4 price-drop...

Prototype Apple hardware has a habit of turning up on eBay, so we're not entirely surprised to see another of the company's finest show up for auction.

The latest prototype of Apple's to appear on the popular auction site is an iPhone 4 that, at least according to appearances, is a prototype of the handset we've all grown to love since its launch in June of last year...

Apple Stores Can Unlock AT&T iPhones at the Point of Sale

Earlier this month, Apple announced that it would finally be offering unlocked iPhone 4s in the U.S. Unlocking the iPhone has largely been a process of the jailbreak community for the past few years, so needless to say the news was surprising.

Since the announcement, a lot of folks have been wondering whether or not AT&T or Apple would be able to unlock previously owned devices. Well, 9to5Mac has just discovered that some Apple stores do indeed have the ability to unlock AT&T-branded iPhones...

Chinese Woman Offers her Virginity in Exchange for an iPhone 4

It's no secret that young adults are taking extreme measures to get their hands on Apple products. It wasn't long ago that the story of the kid who sold one of his kidneys to buy an iPad 2 made its way around the internet.

Offering an organ for an Apple product seems pretty drastic, until you hear what this next girl is offering. The Korea Herald is reporting that a young Chinese woman has posted an "ad" offering to trade her virginity for an iPhone 4...

According to a recent study, after five months, the iPhone already dominates the Verizon network in the U.S. On AT&T, the numbers are even more impressive, with a 65% lead.

Bloomberg: New iPhone Coming in September, A5 Chip, 8 MP Camera

Hot off the heels of yesterday's rumor from BGR that pegged an August announcement for the next iPhone, Bloomberg has decided to enter the rumor mill and back up previous reports that put the next gen iPhone's release at a September date.

Among a September release, Bloomberg corroborates other reports that Apple's next iPhone will not, in fact, be a "radical" redesign of the iPhone 4, but instead a mere hardware boost.

A Humorous iPhone 4 Anecdote

I have a friend who works at Radio Shack. He sells a lot of AT&T iPhones to customers and recently had a humorous story to share with me.

A woman entered the store and angrily asked for a sales associate. My friend responded to her, and asked her what the issue was. She held up her brand new iPhone 4 that she had purchased the week before, and proceeded to complain that she had been ripped off.

She explained that she had paid for an iPhone 4, but that's not what she was given. She demanded that since she paid for the newest iPhone, the store should exchange the one she had for a true iPhone 4...

iPhone 4 Now Most Popular Camera on Flickr

Apple's iPhone 4 has now overtaken the Nikon D90, Canon 5D Mark II, Canon Digital Rebel XSi and Canon REBEL T1i to become the most popular camera among Flickr users. While it may not necessarily produce the best photos, the overwhelming popularity of the device — coupled with its convenience — make it the most popular camera available right now.

The iPhone 4 has been rapidly climbing the Flickr graphs for some time, and back in April, it was predicted the device would nab the top spot from the Nikon D90 within a month. It took a little while longer, but now it has achieved what no other smartphone has...

Apple Drops Supply Orders for iPhone 4 in Anticipation of New Model

A report from overseas says that Apple has decreased component orders for the iPhone 4 in anticipation of the next iPhone's release in the coming months. The latest rumor claims an August announcement for Apple's next gen device, and these supply chain reports seem to corroborate that timeframe.

According to the Taiwanese-based DigiTimes, circuit board (PCB) suppliers are seeing a decrease in orders from Apple in the second business quarter. A drop in component orders usually means that a company is gearing up for production on a new product, and that product would of course be the next iPhone.
