After refreshing its iPhone and iPad app with support for Interactive Notifications on iOS 8 and revamped profile pages, the micro-blogging platform Twitter on Thursday issued an update to its Mac client implementing a pair of new photo features.
The first allows you to add an image to your direct messages and the other introduces support for attaching up to four images to a single tweet.
Twitter for Mac 3.1 is available free in the Mac App Store.
TapToShare is a new widget for Notification Center that lets you quickly post to Twitter or Facebook. The widget adds shortcuts to both social networks in the Today tab, and when tapping on one of these shortcuts, it launches the TapToShare app and automatically opens up a share sheet for the selected service.

Twitterrific by Iconfactory, a third-party Twitter client for the iPhone and iPad, has received an update Tuesday evening enabling extension support for AgileBits’ 1Password via Twitterrific's in-app browser, in addition to taking advantage of the bigger iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus screens.
This version also includes more than a dozen bug fixes, improvements and enhancements. The 8.6-megabyte download is available free of charge in the App Store, with advanced features locked behind several In-App Purchases.
