Jailbreak tweaks of the week: BeatsStudioBudsControl, YouTube Premium Plus, & more…

While some jailbreakers-to-be continue to wait for a jailbreak solution that works on newer firmware, those lucky enough to already have a pwned handset are wondering what they can do to modify their device outside of Apple’s stock parameters.

At iDownloadBlog, we come at you every weekend with a roundup just like this one, which summarizes everything that you may have missed throughout the busy work week.

In this piece, we’ll showcase all the latest jailbreak tweak releases and jailbreak-centric news released between Monday, July 26th and Sunday, August 1st. As usual, we’ll showcase our favorite stuff and then outline everything else afterward.

Our favorite releases this week

BeatsStudioBudsControl – FREE

If you have a paid of Beats Studio Buds, then you won’t be able to control listening modes (Transparency and Noise Cancellation) via Control avenger without running iOS 14.6 or newer.

This appears to be a software limitation on Apple’s behalf, and if you’re jailbroken on a version older than 14.6, it’s a bit of a buzzkill. That’s why the new BeatsStudioBudsControl tweak is a godsend, as it unlocks this functionality on older iOS 14 releases.

You can learn more about BeatsStudioBudsControl in our full review post.

YouTube Premium Plus – FREE

For those YouTube users who demand more personalization of the YouTube app, YouTube Premium Plus offers all the customization options you could ever need.

From hiding and showing certain app elements to changing the app’s behavior, it offers a little bit of something for everyone.

You can learn what YouTube Premium Plus is all about in our full review post.

Everything else from this past week

Kernel exploit for iOS & iPadOS 14.7: Apple released iOS & iPadOS 14.7.1 to patch a kernel-level security vulnerability that was affecting all devices running up to and including iOS & iPadOS 14.7. But will this exploit help in developing a jailbreak?

iOS & iPadOS 14.6 unsigned: Apple has stopped signing iOS & iPadOS 14.6, which hinders most downgrades from the newer iOS & iPadOS 14.7 & 14.7.1 firmwares.

Jailbreak tweaks for web browsing on iOS 14: We curate a specialized list of some of the best jailbreak tweaks for upgrading the web browsing user experience on pwned installations of iOS & iPadOS 14.

That just about brings this week‘a jailbreak tweaks of the week roundup to a close, but despite the lull the jailbreak community is currently experiencing amid the wait for a new jailbreak tool and the imminent release of iOS & iPadOS 15, we’re still excited to bring you another roundup just like this one next Sunday.
