Jailbreak tweaks of the week: Edictus, WeatherGround, WonderBar, and more…

If you have a jailbroken iOS device at your disposal, then chances are you’re looking for new and quirky ways to get the most out of it. Fortunately, we’re here to help with that.

In this roundup, we’ll discuss all the latest jailbreak tweaks to be released from Monday, April 20th to Sunday, April 26th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by discussing our favorite releases first and then wrap things up with an outline of the rest afterward.

Our favorite releases this week

CaptureTheFlag – FREE

CaptureTheFlag is a new and essential jailbreak tweak for jailbreakers on iOS 13 that resolves the newly discovered Sindhi text message glitch that cause handset freezing.

It’s not the first time we’ve witnessed the jailbreak community releasing a fix before Apple, and it almost certainly won’t be the last. If you care about the stability of your pwned handset, then you’ll want to grab this.

Edictus – FREE

Edictus is a new and free jailbreak app that lets users create their own Dynamic and Live wallpapers using resources on their iPhone or iPad itself.

These Dynamic wallpapers change automatically based on your system’s dark/light mode setting, while the Live wallpapers automatically animate as a Live Photo would.

You can learn more about Edictus and where you can get it in our full review.

MailMend – FREE

Much like the CaptureTheFlag jailbreak tweak above, MailMend fixes a problem in iOS that Apple has yet to resolve and that jailbreakers otherwise wouldn’t be able to fix since they normally avoid software updates.

This tweak patches one of the known vulnerabilities in the Mail app, allowing jailbreakers to safely use the native emailing platform with sound mind.

Meteorite – FREE

Meteorite is a slick reiteration of a popular jailbreak tweak that animates the Weather app icon with live local weather information, which is something that Apple should have done from the get-go.

In addition, the tweak adds the same information to the Status Bar, just below the time indicator. This allows you to see your weather information even when you’re not glancing at the Home screen.

You can learn more about Meteorite, including how it works and where you can get it, in our full review.

WeatherGround – FREE

WeatherGround is a flashy new jailbreak tweak that animates your iPhone’s wallpaper images and Status Bar with sleek Weather-centric information.

With it, you can replace the wallpaper entirely with what you’d typically see in the Weather app, or you can superimpose the Weather app’s animation effects over the wallpaper image. You can also tap on the time to see your current weather outside.

You can learn more about WeatherGround and how it works in our full review.

WonderBar – FREE

WonderBar is a snazzy new jailbreak tweak that lets you customize your iPhone’s Status Bar elements, including the battery level indicator and the carrier text.

Whether you care about changing the carrier text or not, WonderBar has one of the most fascinating battery level indicator customizers that we’ve seen to date.
