Apps of the Week

Apps of the Week: AllCast, Shadowmatic, Starlike and more

Welcome back everyone to our weekly roundup of noteworthy iOS releases. We've seen some great new apps and games land over the past 7 days, from new remote desktop control software from Google, to a new Wii-like bowling game for Apple TV, so you don't want to miss this week's picks.

Apps of the Week: Evernote Scannable, Gunbrick, CARROT Hunger, and more

This is the first week of 2015 that has finally put the App Store back on track. With the new launch slowdown officially over, we’ve got plenty of titles to check out.

If you’ve been waiting for things to get back to normal, too, we’ve got a list of apps and games that will give you something to write home about this weekend.

Apps of the Week: MoneyWiz 2, MultiCam, WRC, and more

The holiday season is officially over and the New Year has begun. Let 2015 begin. I’ve had my fill of nog and libations and will be spending the first quarter of the year trying to work off all that extra cookie weight I’ve gained.

If you are looking for some apps to help you keep your New Year’s Resolution, check out our list of apps to start the New Year off right. If you are just looking for something to fill your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch up, check out our spotlight of apps and games this week.

Apps of the Week: Pandemic, Carcassone, Quarriors, and more

This week was a bit dry for new apps and games. The iTunes Connect app store freeze will have definitely had an affect on launches. Instead of spotlighting new titles for you to check out while avoiding the in-laws, this weekend, we are bringing families together.

Today, we’ve got a list of pass-and-play iPad games that you can participate in with your family. If you are looking for a way to bond with cousin Dan, see if a bit of friendly competition (or cooperation) from the list below will turn you into gaming buddies for life.

Apps of the Week: Duet Display, Shift, Emoji Type, and more

It’s the weekend before Christmas and I’m still not finished with my handmade gifts. Around this time each year, I begin to realize I set my goals too high. I just run out of time before I run out of crafts. Luckily, I have a backup plan that involves last minute gifts in the form of apps.

If you can’t think of the perfect gift for that friend who has everything, an app or game may be just right. Whether you are looking for last minute gift ideas or just want to fill your iPhone with new stuff, we’ve got a list of apps and games for you to check out this weekend.

Apps of the Week: Tales from the Borderlands, Seabeard, Sneaky Sneaky, and more

After spending all week shopping for presents, decorating trees, and baking cookies, I’m ready for a break. All I want to do is sit down with a good game and lose track of time until my fingers cramp up. If you are in need of a bit of relief from the holiday hustle and bustle, take a look at our list of apps and games. You might find something to ease your stress level. Maybe you’ll feel better after some good old fashioned video gaming. I know I always do.

Apps of the week: Tomb Raider II, Game of Thrones, Dragon Quest III, and more

This sure was a big week for games. We got our hands on some classic ports and were able to check out new titles that scratched our puzzle-loving itch. We got to play around with cool new keyboards, and even downloaded some premium games at a freebie price.

This weekend, if you are still looking for that perfect title to occupy your time while you stand in long lines for holiday shopping, we’ve got a list of apps and games to keep you busy.

Apps of the week: Screeny, Raby, KORG Module, and more

Well, if you are reading this, you’ve made it through the chaos that was Thanksgiving and subsequently, the savings account-draining day after, known as Black Friday. Congratulations. You deserve a break! Why not sit down with your well-worn iPhone and immerse yourself in the type of entertainment that can’t be ruined by Uncle Jim’s drunken political ranting.

If you are looking for new apps and games to help you recover from the family get-together, we’ve got a list that we think will help ease you back into normalcy.

Apps of the Week: Quetzcoatl, Swing Tale, Blippy, and more

This is the last weekend before the holidays are in full swing. If family is coming to visit, you may not have the luxury of spending all weekend playing games on your iPhone. This weekend, make sure to take some time for yourself and check out all of the new titles the App Store has to offer. We’ve got a list of apps and games that might just keep you sane before the in-laws come trickling in.

Apps of the week: Overglide, Golfinity, Endless Doves, and more

This was a good week for apps and games. Not only were there some new console-quality additions to the list, but also some of our old favorites received major updates, making them even better than ever. If you are looking for something new that didn’t necessarily show up on the radar this week, we’ve got a list of apps and games that we think are still worth talking about.

Apps of the week: Bitcoin Billionaire, World of Warriors, Cavemen Pong, and more

I have to admit that, early on during last week, I was a bit disappointed to see the new titles available in the App Store. You could call it a “slow week” for apps. I did call it that. However, as the days went on, we discovered cool widgets like Neato, great updates like Microsoft Office’s, and even a couple of new apps that put a smile on our faces.

This week has already gotten off to a very good start with a handful of really fun free apps and games, plus some great looking titles that will give you a reason to spend some money. If you are looking for new apps and games to keep you busy this weekend, we’ve got a list that will put you down the path to enlightenment.

Apps of the week: Haunt the House, Run Sackboy Run, and more

This week produced a whole bunch of scary titles. I know that Halloween is over, but there is no reason not to continue the spooky celebration for a little while longer. If I could, I’d keep Halloween going all year long. My costume might get a little gross after the first few months, though. If you are holding onto that creepy feeling just a little bit longer, or maybe want some help with your finances, we’ve got a list of apps and games to get you through the weekend.
