Interacting with ads on Pandora could earn you one hour of uninterrupted listening

If you interact with a rich ad on Pandora for at least fifteen seconds, the Internet radio service will reward you with an hour of uninterrupted listening free of advertising, the company announced in a blog post Monday.

They're calling it Sponsored Listening and it's available now to all advertisers, meaning this feature will be available on a per-ad basis.

Apple on Friday kicked off a new interesting web campaign on its website which strives to lay out the reasons for the iPhone's uniqueness.

Delivered under the tagline “Why there’s nothing quite like iPhone” and accompanying its “If it's not an iPhone, it's not an iPhone” series of television commercials, the new webpage goes through a few key aspects of the iPhone.

Some of the highlights include the iPhone's tightly integrated design, strong security, powerful imaging capabilities, robust messaging, privacy and much more.

Samsung's marketing department has admittedly become very skilled at the craft of Apple-bashing, always eager to find an interesting new angle to discredit the iPhone.

Forget about wall-huggers—Samsung's latest television commercial for the Galaxy S6 Edge flagship attempts to diss those who would use an iPhone, likening them to “a nation of checkers.”

You know the type.

Those rude people that destroy your moviegoing experience by checking out their email and ruin your dinner by constantly glancing at their iPhone screen under the table.

Apple shares a pair of slow-motion videos as part of ‘Shot on iPhone 6’ campaign

Apple's 'Shot on iPhone 6’ campaign continues with a pair of new videos shared last evening on the company's YouTube channel. Highlighting iPhone photography skills by Apple dans Willian P. and Jirasak P., the 15-second clips focus on the capabilities of the iPhone 6 camera's Slow-Mo video capture.

Since its March 2015 launch, 'Shot on iPhone 6’ thus far has featured the creativity of more than 77 iPhone photographers from 70 cities across 24 countries around the world.

Huge Beats 1 billboard takes over Times Square

Often referred to as The Crossroads of the World, New York City's Time Square is always brightly adorned with billboards and advertisements from the world's top brands. With less than a week until June 30 Apple Music launch, the iPhone maker is now advertising Beats 1 with a massive billboard.

It's dominated by enormous Beats 1 promotional graphics accompanied by the “Worldwide. Always on” tagline and the 6.30.2015 launch date. Interestingly enough, the Apple logo is nowhere to be seen on the advertisement, perhaps indicating the Cupertino firm might be counting on Beats' brand power to push the upcoming radio service into public consciousness.

Apple wins Outdoor Lions Grand Prix at Cannes for ‘Shot on iPhone 6’ campaign

Apple picked up the top prize in the Outdoor Lions category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity this week for its recent "Shot on iPhone 6" ad campaign. The annual event, often referred to as the world's biggest ad festival, features thousands of ads from around the world to be showcased and judged.

The win marks the second Cannes Grand Prix award in three years for Apple and its longtime advertising partner TBWA\Media Art Lab. Additionally, the duo also picked up five Gold Lions awards for specific posters from the "Shot on iPhone 6" campaign, which showcases photographs shot using Apple's latest handset.

Samsung takes jabs at iPhone 6 in latest ad salvo

In a pair of new television commercials, Samsung is back at what it does best: bashing Apple's iPhone. Promoted under the tagline “six is greater than six,” the 30-second videos highlight three features of Samsung's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge: wireless charging, a wider-angle lens on the selfie camera out the front and a curved screen which displays tidbits of information across the edges of Samsung phones.

Apple Watch featured in May issue of Canadian fashion mag Flare

Following a barrage of editorials and photo shoots published by prominent lifestyle and fashion magazines around the world, Apple's wearable device has now graced the cover of the May issue of Flare, a Canadian fashion magazine, as first noticed by MacRumors.

The magazine's two separate covers feature Academy Award nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld who poses wearing an Apple Watch Sport in both Silver and Space Gray, accompanied by a featured article providing a closer look at the Watch's many features outside of the usual timekeeping and health and fitness tracking functions.

The Apple Watch tour of the world's top fashion and lifestyle magazines continues with a fashion debut Down Under in the form of a multi-page style guide in the latest April issue of women magazine Elle Australia.

The featured article has the publication's in-house fashion editor Sara Smith sharing tips for making the Watch work in women's wardrobe.

Meanwhile, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has chimed in with his thoughts on the device, saying he'll be opting for an entry-level Apple Watch Sport model.

New Amazon commercial says Kindle Fire HD is twice as durable as iPad mini 3

Forget about side-by-side software and hardware comparison, Apple's iPad mini 3 is twice as likely to break into pieces should it slip out of your hand than Amazon's Kindle Fire HD.

That's the key message of Amazon's latest television commercial which paints its tablet “twice as durable” as the iPad mini 3.

The 30-second video, which shows the Kindle Fire HD being subjected to various durability tests, is meant to reinforce the notion that Amazon tablets are sturdier than Apple's.

The marketing has begun as Apple has just refreshed its website with additional details and information pertaining to the Watch, including the inaugural television commercial for the device which was first played earlier this morning at the “Spring Forward” media event in San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts.

The video is available for streaming from the Apple website and is expected to be published soon on the company's official YouTube channel. UPDATE: the videos are now live on YouTube.
