New Infinity Blade III video posts ahead of next week’s release

Chair has today posted a new video teasing its upcoming Infinity Blade III title, the third installment in the developer's popular hack-and-slash series. The game first debuted during Apple's iPhone event on Tuesday, where it demonstrated the power of the A7.

Today's clip is entitled 'Infinity Blade: Origins,' and it does a great job of summing up events in the first two games and introducing the third. In typical Infinity Blade-fashion, both graphics and audio of the video are top-notch—so it's definitely worth watching...

Calendars 5 review: one of the best calendar apps for iOS

A few days ago, Readdle launched a brand new calendar app in the App Store. No, this is not just an update to Calendars + with a new skin. This is a brand new app with brand new features.

Calendars 5 is an iOS 7 friendly productivity app that lets you sync with your Google or iOS calendar, add reminders from your iOS Reminders app, and the best part, it is a universal app for both iPhone and iPad…

FlowDoku makes the game of Sudoku a little less intimidating

I’ve never been very good at Sudoku. Whenever I try, I get all jumbled up around the bottom few grids. For me, it is because the numbers are so daunting. I see a bunch of numbers and all I can think of is math.

FlowDoku lets you have the experience of solving Sudoku-type puzzles without the intimidation of looking at series of seemingly unconnected numbers. Instead, you solve the puzzles with shapes…

‘Where’s My Water? 2’ now available for download

Disney has posted another episode to its popular Where's My Water? series today called 'Where's My Water? 2.' It's the franchise's fourth installment, and it brings back Swampy the alligator from the original release.

The latest sequel to the physics-based puzzler comes with three brand new locations including the Sewer, the Soap Factory, and the Beach. And it features more than 100 new levels, and an all-new challenge mode...

Heroes of Loot crawls its way into the App Store

Dungeon crawlers are some of my most favorite types of games. I love going from room to room, clearing out baddies, looting bodies, and finding secret doors. Some people think dungeon crawl games are boring because there isn’t usually a whole lot of fast-paced action.

Heroes of Loot might change their minds. It is an action packed dungeon crawler that looks similar to the old school adventure game Gauntlet, but keeps you on your toes by bombarding you with so many bad guys you won’t be able to stop long enough to enjoy your spoils…

R-Round lets the music tell the story

Whenever a sweet indie song comes on the radio, my boyfriend groans and says he feels like he is in an Apple commercial or something. He hates those charming jangly pop songs.

R-Round is a casual arcade game for the iPad that is jam-packed with the cutest, jangliest, catchiest pop tunes you can think of. Plus, it features a unique style of gameplay that is fun for everyone…

Infinity Blade III coming to iOS September 18 for $6.99

I'm not sure how it happened, but somewhere amidst all of the excitement yesterday, we completely neglected to talk about the new Infinity Blade game. For those who missed it, Apple brought Chair's Donald Mustard up on stage during its iPhone event to introduce Infinity Blade III.

The move, of course, was to help Apple show off the power of the iPhone 5s' new A7 processor, but it was a big moment for Infinity Blade fans as well. After the 'Dungeons' title was canceled, the future of the franchise was uncertain. But Chair put all those concerns to rest yesterday...

Ubisoft announces Assassin’s Creed: Pirates

French developer Ubisoft, one of the most prolific games makers out there, today announced a brand new game to accompany the upcoming Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for consoles. They are calling it Assassin's Creed: Pirates and it's basically a standalone naval combat title scheduled to launch this Fall on smartphones and tablets.

Pirates will feature the characters from the upcoming Black Flag console game, including Blackbeard and Benjamin Hornigold. I've included a teaser trailer and additional tidbits right after the break...

Sony introduces the PS Vita TV, an Apple TV competitor that plays games

It appears that the PlayStation 4 isn't the only new gaming hardware we'll be seeing from Sony this year. The Tokyo-based company has just announced PlayStation Vita TV, a 6 x 10 cm console and set-top box that can connect to your TV.

The device is based on PS Vita hardware, and besides playing Vita, PSP and PS1 games, it also offers access to a range of entertainment services and PS4-specific features. And, priced at $100, it's aimed squarely at Apple's set-top box...

2013: Infected Wars contaminates the App Store

With all these brand name high profile games coming out this week, it is easy for lesser-known titles to go unnoticed. Sometimes, games that don’t have a huge following are just as good as, or even better than, popular titles.

2013: Infected Wars is an action horror shooter that puts you on the streets with the kind of creatures you might find in the Resident Evil world. Luckily, this game doesn’t leave you to fend for yourself. You can also blast away mutant monsters with your friends in co-operative multiplayer mode…

Star Wars Force Collection review: bring out your dark side

Speaking as a confirmed Star Wars fan with pretty decent creds to back up my obsession, I was both overly excited and justifiably leery of Konami’s new collectable card game (CCG) based on my favorite movie of all time.

Star Wars Force Collection is a CCG that is based on everyone’s favorite scruffy-looking Nerf herder and his band of lovable misfits. Sounds like a dream come true for sci-fi nerds, but does it live up to its namesake…

Ancient Battle: Rome puts you on the battlefield with Caesar himself

Battling against mounted armies with nothing but a spear and a shield may seem unfair, but all is fair in love and war, or so they say. When the odds are against you, fight harder.

Ancient Battle: Rome is a strategy turn-based game that puts you in command of Roman legionaries in classic battles of old. Prepare your troops for attack because this war will not end well…
