Papa Sangre II
The deadliest game alive is back and has killed you. That’s right. When you play this game, you are already dead. The goal is to work backward, trying to find clues to your undoing. The only help you have is sound. You are guided by a disembodied voice to find your way back to the beginning. You know, before you died. You can see with your eyes and move with your feet, but hearing is the only way to survive, er… make it through the game. The graphics are high quality with cinema style 3-D sound design. Run from monsters, avoid traps, and shoot your way out of a bind. This game is available for $3.99.
Molto
Formerly known as Incredimail, this email app reinvents how you view your inbox. If you are tired of looking at words on a page, why not make pictures the focus of attention. Connect Molto to your Facebook account to view your friends’ profile pictures at the top of the page. Add all of your email accounts and combine them into a unified inbox for easy access to all of your different messages. Filter emails by personal, social, and services to separate what is important now from what can be dealt with later. Check the menu screen to see who you communicate with the most. Tap their profile to see the most recent conversation thread with them. This app is available for free.
Bit.Trip Run!
Bit.Trip is a series of retro games that started in 2009. The games feature colorful graphics, rhythmic music, and a very classic arcade style. Interestingly, the latest release in the multiple-title series is not 8-bit like its predecessors. However, the new beats are still as iconic as the previous games. There are three worlds with 30 rhythm-base platform levels, including 12 “challenge” levels and 15 “retro” levels. You can play as eight different characters, including a pickle. Yes, a pickle. Unlock 40 different costume changes. You wouldn’t want your pickle to be out of fashion. This game is available for $3.99.
Today
Instead of waking up to the unearthly sound of beeping, buzzing, or blasting, why not wake up to the pleasant sound of someone telling you what is going on today. This app features multiple alarm settings with a personalized announcement of the day’s events. For example, wake up to the weather forecast, new emails, and events on your calendar. You can even add updates from Facebook and Twitter. Set the alarm panels to your preferred information so you can wake up to what is relevant to you, including news, music, or even a basic alarm clock sound. This app is available for $2.99.
Bubbli
If you are tired of flat, rectangular photos, it is time to break out of the norm and go for something a little rounder. Create dynamic spherical photos by painting the space around you with your iPhone camera. Take pictures of your surroundings and then let Bubbli stitch the images together and build a seamless sphere. Share them with others through Facebook and Twitter.
