Jailbreak tweaks of the week: Backtrix, croutons13, WebMessage, and more…

It’s that time of the week again, and as we prepare to bid adieu to an otherwise ordinary weekend, we’re reminded that it wouldn’t be a Sunday here at iDownloadBlog without a weekly recap of all the latest jailbreak tweak releases and news directly impacting the jailbreak community.

It’s that reason exactly that we come at you today with the latest iteration of our jailbreak tweak roundup, this time encompassing all the releases between Monday, January 25th and Sunday, January 31st. As usual, we’ll kick things off by showcasing our favorite releases from this past week first, and then we’ll outline everything else afterward.

So without wasting even another moment of your time, let’s get started…

Our favorite releases this week

Backtrix – $2.25

Backtrix is a new jailbreak tweak that back-ports one of my favorite new iOS 14 features — Back Tap — to jailbroken iOS 13 devices.

With the tweak installed, you can tap twice or three times on the back of your handset to invoke an action of your choice. The tweak can also be installed on iOS 14 devices to expand what can already be done with the native Back Tap gesture.

You can learn more about Backtrix and how it works in our full review.

croutons13 – FREE

While I very much appreciate the breadcrumb links that iOS puts in my Status Bar after I’m jolted from one app to another, I don’t find them to be very aesthetically pleasing.

The new croutons13 tweak changes that by replacing the string of text that breadcrumb links leave behind with the icon of the app that you’d be returned to if tapped.

You can learn more about croutons13 and where you can get it in our full review.

WebMessage – FREE

WebMessage is a free jailbreak tweak and computer application combination that allows users of most desktop operating systems to enjoy iMessage and SMS on their computer.

The tweak is easy to set up, as long as your devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. If they’re not, then tunneling is supported.
