iPhone 5 Coming in September, Similar to iPhone 4

According to a report from Reuters, Apple is scheduled to begin production of the iPhone 5 in July/August with a September release. This news coincides with other reports that Apple will push back the next generation iPhone's launch to a later fall date.

It is unclear as to why Apple is not following the usual summer release schedule for the iPhone, but all signs point to a different roadmap for 2011. The iPhone 5 is reported to have a faster processor and look very similar to the current iPhone 4.

iPhone 5 to Sport A5 Processor and 8 MP Camera?

It might seem like the rumor mill is working over time on Apple's next smartphone, but it's really nothing new. Up and coming Apple products typically garner a lot of attention.

There is a ton of speculation about the next iPhone flying around the internet, but none of it has been confirmed. Without an official announcement from Apple, all the tech junkies and investors have to go on are the rumors...

iPhone 5 Production Roadmap Not Yet Released By Apple

When a new Apple product is set to be released, Apple usually lays out a production roadmap for the device a few months before its release. The production roadmap includes anything from the parts that need to be purchased from suppliers, to the amount of parts needed before the manufacturing of the new product can begin.

According to DigiTimes, touchscreen panel makers are claiming that Apple hasn’t detailed production for the iPhone 5. Instead, shipment volumes for the iPhone 4 have continued to mount, which leads them to believe it might not be released until next year or maybe later this year...

White iPhone 4 Coming in the Next Few Weeks

After a 10 month delay, it looks as though the white iPhone 4 will finally be available by the end of this month. According to a report from Bloomberg Buisnessweek, sources familiar with Apple's secret release plans say that the mystical white iPhone 4 will indeed ship in the "next few weeks."

Although it's unclear as to whether Apple will hold a media event for the white iPhone's launch, it appears that the device will be unveiled very soon...

More Evidence Points to September Launch of iPhone 5

Following yesterday's report from Avian Securities regarding the release of the iPhone 5, a new report from Digital Daily seems to lend more credence to the previous rumors.

According to a Digital Daily report, Apple is planning to unveil the next-generation iPhone 5 at its annual September media event that usually focuses on the iPod.

Rumor: iPhone 5 Production Won’t Start Until September

The latest in iPhone 5 rumors claims that Apple won't be starting mass production of the iPhone 5 until September, which corroborates previous reports that Apple won't be unveiling the device at WWDC this summer.

If production doesn't start until September, Apple could be waiting to unveil and announce ship dates for the next gen iPhone at their annual September event. Although iOS 5 will be previewed this summer, there could be an official launch of Apple's new software alongside an iPhone 5 announcement later this year...

Amazon Running iPhone 5 Advertisements

I'm all for planning a good strategy, being proactive, and all of those other productivity buzzwords.

But when a product hasn't even been announced, let alone released, I think advertising an unannounced product that you had no hand in creating might be going too far.

That's the circumstance that Amazon finds themselves in right now, because if you perform a Google search for "iPhone 5" it'll return iPhone 5 advertisements that point to Amazon.

So what exactly happens when you click the link? Where does it take you?

More iPhone 5 Rumblings From the Wall Street Journal

Surprise! The Wall Street Journal posted some more gossip about the iPhone 5 this morning, and I think it's safe to say that at this point, no one really knows when the iPhone 5 is going to launch.

Will it be June? Will it be September? Anyone's guess is as good as mine, but be rest assured that Apple has a plan in place at this point in the game

In fact, one analyst quoted in today's Wall Street Journal tidbit seemed to reiterate the fact that no one really knows. Due to a variety of factors, including the recent launch of the Verizon iPhone 4, Apple is holding its cards tightly this go round...

iPhone 5 Pics Leaked Again

Take this one with a grain a salt, as most of these leaked photos are proven to be fake. For Apple's sake, let's hope the case follows suit. These leaked pictures depict a very iPhone 4-looking device with some minor differences.

These photos were posted early this morning on BGR's website. They are supposedly snapshots of the up and coming iPhone 5 and have been making some noise around the internet today. They were said to have been sourced from a Vietnamese forum post, but that is anything but confirmed....

Apple’s 30-Pin Dock Connector Could be Getting a Huge Upgrade

A new and interesting patent reveals a very interesting possibility for future iDevices. Apple's current proprietary connection technology has been in need of an update for a long time, and technologies like MagSafe have been considered as a replacement.

The current 30-pin connector is present on all of Apple's mobile devices. And, apparently, Apple is looking to upgrade the 30-pin architecture with multiple connection technologies...

iPhone 5 Launch Rumors Continue, Will Not Launch in June

If you're confused about release dates surrounding the iPhone 5, you're not the only one. In classic fashion, rumors have been flying left and right about when Apple's next gen iPhone will be announced.

Originally, reliable sources said that, unlike Apple's previous track record, there would be no iPhone 5 announcement at WWDC this June. Several authoritative sources all agreed that Apple would not release the iPhone 5 during the typical summer time frame.

Yesterday, a report from a Korean site claimed that Apple would in fact have a hardware announcement at WWDC in June. This claim directly opposed the previous consensus that Apple would hold off on the iPhone 5 launch. And it appears that the recent, Korean-based rumor is false...

Leaked iPod touch Image Could Potentially Paint a Picture of the iPhone’s Future

The iPod touch, with a "touch to home" feature. How obvious, when you think about it?

This new leaked photo of what is apparently an iPod touch is making waves around the Internet today due to its lack of a mechanical Home button.

Although it's a bit different than the rumors that suggested that the Home button would go away completely, a capacitive touch sensitive button is certainly one step in said direction.

Of course Android phones have been doing this for quite some time now, but it'll be interesting to see -- assuming the photo is the real deal -- if this feature will ever make it to the iPhone...
