Unc0ver v3.3.6 released to address Sock Port exploit issues on 4K devices

Pwn20wnd released unc0ver versions 3.3.4 and 3.3.5 just this morning with support for Jake James’ Sock Port exploit, which can be used to jailbreak A7-A9(X) devices running iOS 11.0-12.1.4. But as it would seem, these releases weren’t bug-free, prompting Pwn20wnd to update unc0ver once again this afternoon to version 3.3.6.

Pwn20wnd announced the release of unc0ver v3.3.6 via Twitter not long ago, noting that it would resolve issues with the Sock Port exploit failing to jailbreak specific 4K devices:

Unc0ver v3.3.5 adds support for Jake James’ ‘Sock Port’ exploit

Pwn20wnd released two consecutive updates for the unc0ver jailbreak tool on Friday, with the first being unc0ver v3.3.4 and the second being unc0ver v3.3.5.

The hacker announced the two updated versions of unc0ver just this morning via Twitter, noting that they would add support for Jake James’ Sock Port exploit for iOS 11.0-12.1.4 on A7-A9(X) devices and improve the reliability of other exploits:

Unc0ver v3.3.3 released with iOS 11-centric exploit fixes

Pwn20wnd on Thursday released another update for the unc0ver jailbreak tool, bringing it up to version 3.3.3 and making it better for everyday use.

The hacker announced the update this afternoon via Twitter, and from what we can gather, this update mostly seems to contain bug fixes rather than new features of any sort:

The jailbreak tool revisions continue to roll out on Monday, starting with an update launched by the Electra Team early this morning to add more device and firmware support to Chimera for iOS 12.0-.12.3 beta.

The Electra Team announced the release of Chimera version 1.2.4 via Twitter, noting that it added support for 4K (A7-A8) devices running iOS 12.1.3-12.2 and some versions of the iOS 12.3 beta, making it the first modern jailbreak tool to do so:

Pwn20wnd officially launches unc0ver v3.3.0 to the public without the ‘beta’ designation

It wasn’t long after @NedWilliamson released his Sock Puppet exploit that Pwn20wnd and the Electra Team began playing ‘tag you’re it’ with continuous jailbreak tool updates to support the latest possible firmware version(s), and as it would seem, those updates may finally be starting to plateau.

In a Tweet shared just a few minutes ago, Pwn20wnd announced the official public release of unc0ver v3.0.0, which officially brings it out of beta testing:

It appears to be a big day for the Electra Team. Just this morning, the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak received an update to version 1.2.3 with support for certain builds of the iOS 12.3 beta, and in addition to that, the tvOS-centric ChimeraTV jailbreak was updated to version 1.2.2 with support for tvOS 12.2 on the Apple TV 4K.

The Electra team shared both announcements this morning via Twitter, linking to the newly-updated jailbreak tools on the Chimera website in the process:

Unc0ver v3.3.0 beta 7 released to fix more loose ends

Pwn20wnd has been hard at work over the past several days in implementing @NedWilliamson’s new iOS 12.1.3-12.2-centric Sock Puppet exploit into the unc0ver jailbreak. Perhaps unsurprisingly, there’ve been a lot of new updates to the unc0ver jailbreak, with most of those updates involving the tying up of loose ends in regards to the new exploit.

While Pwn20wnd updated the unc0ver jailbreak just this morning to version 3.3.0 beta 6, it now seems that the hacker has updated unc0ver once more, this time to version 3.3.0 beta 7. According to the announcement Tweet, this update resolves several miscellaneous bugs reported by users:

Just yesterday, Pwn20wnd updated the unc0ver jailbreak with support for @NedWilliamson’s Sock Puppet exploit, which brought official support for iOS versions 12.1.3-12.2. This afternoon, Pwn20wnd updated unc0ver again, bringing the tool up to version 3.3.0 beta 3.
