GMYLE iPhone 6s wallet case looks like a tiny vintage book

I'm a bit of a sucker for kitschy and novelty cases. You may recall my over-exuberance about a certain bottle opener/cigarette lighter case. If it looks like something it's not, or has features that don't belong on a case, I'm interested.

The GMYLE iPhone 6s wallet case could fit into the novelty category, but it looks so classy that you can't call it kitschy. It looks like you are holding a tiny leather-bound book.

Review: the Prong PWR is an iPhone battery case with a twist

After spending a year growing accustomed to the iPhone 6 Plus, I decided to go for the smaller handset. I've been pretty happy with the 6s thus far, but the smaller size means a smaller battery, and I've found it's not enough to get me through a normal day.

When I'm working, my dock is typically within arms-length, but on days when I'm out and about this gets to be a problem. We have several battery packs, but I find USB cables very limiting, and I definitely don't want to use a bulky battery case full-time.

That's where the Prong PWR Case comes in.

This rugged iPhone 6s case is more useful than it looks

There are dozens of rugged cases on the market with a vast array of features and options. However, we recently came across one that has a few unique additions that will make you the life of the party.

ZVE makes a rugged case for the iPhone 6s that has a bottle opener and cigarette lighter built into the backside. Yes, a cigarette lighter! What we wonder is, how do you get the lighter fluid inside without dribbling it all over the iPhone?

Leave your wallet at home with the Q Card Case for iPhone 6s

Earlier this week, Lory told you about the CM4 Q Card Case, a hard plastic case that doubles as a wallet. I've been trying out the Limited Edition leather version of the Q over the past few days, so I wanted to offer up some insight on the accessory for those considering buying it.

Evaluating an iPhone case essentially boils down to answering two simple questions: does it look good? And is it functional? If the answer to both is yes, the case is usually a winner. If both answers are no, then it's usually not. If the answer to one question is yes and the other is no, you just have to decide which is more important to you. And that seems like a good place to start this review.

Review: Spigen Slim Armor Volt wireless charging case

In addition to Spigen's GLAS.tR SLIM screen protector, I've been using its Slim Armor Volt wireless charging case for my iPhone 6s Plus. Spigen sent me a care package filled with a boatload of cases, and this one was by far the most intriguing to me.

There are a good number of Android phones that feature wireless charging capabilities out of the box, but there has never been such a feature for the iPhone. Instead, iOS users will need to opt for some sort of third-party wireless charging case solution, and the Spigen Slim Armor Volt fits the bill.

How well does it work? Watch our full video review and see for yourself.

Spyder PowerShadow case gives your iPhone 6 a boost of energy

There is nothing worse than spending the day out with the family, only to realize as the evening approaches that your iPhone 6s is running out of juice. You could risk getting a time-lapse of the sunset, but that might mean you won't be able to get directions back to the hotel. What will you do?

With Spyder's PowerShadow case, you won't have to choose one or the other. The ultra slim case gives you 120 percent of your iPhone 6s' battery life back while protecting from drops.

CM4 Q Card Case for iPhone 6s doubles as a wallet

I hate carrying a bunch of stuff around with me wherever I go. I try to pair down to the minimum, which means a couple of cards, some cash, my iPhone, and maybe some Chapstick (oh, and candy… always gotta have candy). To me, a wallet is a bulky, unnecessary addition that I don't want to deal with.

CM4's Q Card Case for iPhone 6s is perfect for holding your cards and cash so you don't need a wallet. It's ultra thin (as wallet cases go), so you're still ahead when it comes to stuffing your pockets. Now you can have more room for candy.

Zagg's Folio case has a backlit keyboard and a durable cover to secure your device. Thanks to its hinge design, you can position our iPad Air 2 in a variety of viewing positions.

SumacLife Waterproof Pouch keeps your iPad Air 2 dry

If you are a fan of watersports, but also a fan of keeping your iPad Air 2 from being destroyed while you Jet Ski across the lake, chances are you compromise and leave your tablet at home. But, you can have it all.

With SumacLife's Waterproof Pouch, your iPad Air will stay dry and free from dust. Plus, it is designed to keep your device afloat. So, if you drop it in the lake on accident, it won't be swimming with the fishes before you can go back for it.

Apple’s iPhone 6/6 Plus cases will fit the new iPhone 6s/6s Plus models

Considering the amount of people who have asked us if their cases will be compatible with the new phones, it's worth underscoring that Apple's own case lineup for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will indeed fit the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and vice versa.

As iDownloadBlog reader Adam Baligian observed on Twitter, Apple's own iPhone 6s Accessories webpage states that existing cases “fit snugly and your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6 still feels incredibly slim,” even with the case on.

Have a look at Apple’s new iPhone docks and cases

In addition to the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, Apple on Wednesday announced new accessories for its next-generation handsets. The products didn't get much stage time, but listed on Apple's website are a new Lightning dock, leather and silicon cases, in new colorways.

The new dock is very similar to the one Apple announced in May, except now it's available in iPhone-matching colors Gold, Rose Gold, Space Gray and Silver. It's compatible with all late-model iPhones and iPod touches, and will be available for online order today for $49.
