Blendoku 2, Momento, Relight, and more apps to check out this weekend

Now that Best Buy is selling the Apple Watch for $50 off, there is no better time to get your hands on one. Plus, with the money you save, you can get an Apple Watch magnetic charging dock. In the meantime, those of us with small hands have a glimmer of hope that Apple will bring back the four-inch screen some day.

Whether you're looking for content for your Apple Watch, four-inch or 5.5-inch iPhone, iPad Pro, or Apple TV, we've got a list of apps and games for you to consider this weekend.

Apple launches new Guided Tour video highlighting Apple Pay

In the midst of an advertising blitz from competitors Google and Samsung, Apple has posted a new video to its YouTube channel as a means of informing customers and potential customers about Apple Pay.

The video, which falls under the Guided Tour umbrella, details the Apple Pay setup process, security information, touch-less payment at POS terminals, and more. For those of us who use Apple Pay everyday, there's nothing new to learn here, but it's a great overview for new users and potential customers.

Sidefari review: A clever app that lets you use two Safari windows with Split View

Sidefari, an App Store app first brought to my attention by MacStories, is a release that allows you to view two Safari windows side by side by means of some clever use of iOS 9's Safari View Controller.

The app, which is available for purchase for only $0.99, comes courtesy of developer Franscico Cantu. Just made available today, Sidefari can come in handy for any user with an iPad that's capable of Split View, but will be something that is most appreciated by iPad Pro owners.

AppBox 9 brings powerful Lock screen launching options to iOS 9

AppBox 9 is a jailbreak tweak that serves as a powerful Lock screen add-on for jailbroken iOS 9 devices. The tweak, which is available now on Cydia for $1.50, allows users to quickly unlock and open straight to an app, activate plugins when specific app icons are long-pressed, and more.

Is this the type of functionality that you've been missing on your jailbroken iPhone running iOS 9? Read on and see for yourself.

Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard pre-orders available at Staples, shipping November 25th

If you missed out on Best Buy's earlier sale of the Apple Pencil, then I have some good news for you. Staples is now accepting pre-orders for both the Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro.

If you act now, you can expect both items to ship on November 25th, which is next Wednesday. If you choose 1-day shipping, chances are you could receive both items by next Friday. That's a whole lot better than Apple's end-of-December estimates, but you better act fast...

Fix “Fetching” delay when selecting “Open With” on Mac

In my mind, computers are always supposed to work the way they should. And because they are computers, I shouldn't have to wait for them to process basic tasks. That's all in my mind of course, because in reality, things don't always go the way they should.

A perfect example of that is the Open With menu you get when right clicking on a file. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, my iMac will spend several seconds "fetching" the applications that can be used to open that specific file type.

Like with most things computer-related, the fix is pretty simple.

Facebook releases a version of Messenger that’s meant for the office

Facebook today launched a dedicated version of its mobile messaging software, Facebook Messenger, that's meant to be used at work.

As reported on by TechCrunch, the applications is called Work Chat and available now for Android smartphones over at Google's Play Store, while a version for iPhones is being worked on and scheduled to release soon.

The app is basically an expansion of Facebook at Work, the company's business platform which has been in private testing for months now.
