It's the beginning of April, and spring has begun. While everyone is doing their usual spring cleaning, the urge to tidy up your iPhone may arise. If your home screen is cluttered and you can't seem to ever find what you're looking for, it's definitely time for you to delete some apps.

Future iPad Updates to Bring Spaces?

Spaces is a great tool to help you multitask beyond having multiple applications open. It virtually gives you multiple screens. If you own a Mac computer then you definitely know what feature I am talking about.

For those who don't know what Spaces is, it allows you to create multiple work spaces in Mac OS X. A workspace is basically a desktop, it's everything you see open on your current screen. Moving to another Space will move you to another screen completely, you have the same desktop wallpaper and icons, just no apps or windows open.

Patently Apple has discovered a patent filed by Apple that shows their famous Spaces technology running on a tablet device. It also describes many different multitouch gestures that would allow you to control the feature.

It appears as though Apple is interested in bringing the popular feature to its iPad lineup. Although patents don't always make it to consumer products, they do give a good indication of what future products may encompass.

That being said, notice in the figure above of what Apple calls a multifunction device. That looks an awful lot like an OS X dock. Will Apple's next iPad support a more functional version of OS X? Or is this a different product all together?

The iPhone 4 was quite a change from the 3GS. The sleek and sexy curved case turned into a more mature rectangle arrangement. But with the big redesign also came upgraded hardware. For example, the iPhone 3GS had a 480x320 display. The iPhone 4 doubled that with its Retina screen.

My hat goes off to the lawyers of the tech world. How do you keep track of who's suing whom, and for what? If you're an Apple attorney, it seems like that would be extra tough.

Just like in sports, the team doing the best has the biggest target on their backs. And as of right now, there isn't anyone hotter than Apple in the portable electronics market.

Unlike sports, teams in the electronic industry don't go for the target by trying to get better; they sue you. While that was meant to be more of a joke, if you were in Cupertino's law offices right now, nobody would be laughing. Can Windows Phone 7 Overtake the iPhone?

For those who didn't know or can't remember back that far, Microsoft was once a major player in the mobile platform game. It was one of the first mobile operating systems to feature a touch screen (although it required a stylus). The Palm Treo and multiple Windows Mobile handsets actually ruled the smartphone market for quite some time.

Then came innovations from companies like BlackBerry and Apple, and Windows Mobile's aging design just couldn't keep up. Last year, after almost a decade, Microsoft unveiled a completely new mobile OS to the world.

Although their initial launch was hindered by bad memories of the old, buggy Windows Mobile software, things are certainly looking brighter for Microsoft's Windows Phone 7....

Apple Considering 3D Cameras for iPhone 5?

I can't think of a consumer electronics device I've ever seen garner as many rumors and as much speculation as Apple's iPhone 5. The storied device was expected to hit the shelves sometime this summer like previous models, but it is now rumored to be pushed back until late fall or early 2012.

The rumors aren't just limited to the release date of the iPhone 5, but they also expand into hardware predictions, and now, more recently, camera specs. At first the question was whether or not they'd bump the 5 MP camera up to an 8 or 10MP. Now it seems like the question could be if they move the camera up a whole dimension...

Official Vimeo App for iPhone Released with Video Uploading and Editing Features

Home grown Steven Spielbergs have known about Vimeo's existence for quite some time. In fact, Vimeo has been a hot bed for independent and amateur directors since 2004. Different than YouTube, Vimeo has an exclusive dedication to user-made video and does not allow commercial content.

As of March last year, Vimeo had over 3 million members and was averaging more than 16,000 uploads daily. They are looking to expand on that success. Last week, the official Vimeo iPhone app launched in the App Store for free, and it's got some some big features...

Adobe Photoshop Coming to iPad?

It appears that Adobe has been working on porting a full-featured version of their extremely popular photo editing software over to Apple's iOS. Obviously the iPad is their device of choice due to it's 10" display and advanced multitouch capabilities.

Despite Apple's disagreement with Adobe on their Flash platform, I'm sure they would be happy to welcome an iPad Photoshop application of this caliber. Adobe took the opportunity at their annual Photoshop World event to preview what they have in the pipeline for tablet devices.

PhotoShop World 2011 attendees were treated to a demo of a version of Photoshop running on an Apple iPad with a pretty slick interface. The software seemed to be lightyears ahead of Adobe's current iPad offering, Photoshop Express.

Check out the video below of the event to see a live demo of Adobe's tablet concept. It supports layers and allows you to mix colors together like a painter on a palette. It really gives you a good idea of what to expect from future tablet-oriented software.

Mac OS X Software company Digiarty is well known for its MacX software lineup. Their software has a reputation for being extremely easy to use for the not-so-tech-savvy. Well, it appears they are trying to make that same name for themselves in the iPhone transfer app industry.

AT&T CEO Says T-Mobile Deal Will Instantly Boost iPhone Service

The world rejoiced on January 11th of this year as Verizon Wireless announced it would become the 2nd U.S. carrier to sell Apple's popular iPhone. People weren't excited because it would bring new features to the iPhone, they were excited because a different carrier was finally offering the device.

Since its introduction in 2007, the iPhone has been exclusive to AT&T. Because of that, they have taken a lot of heat over their network's ability to withstand the heavy data usage. They've even recently lost coverage battles with Verizon, as they just haven't had the network capacity to support all of the extra traffic...

Would You Pay $800 for an iPhone Accessory?

Retail chains don't just make money on the handset you buy, they make a killing from selling accessories too. If you have ever purchased any type of portable electronic, particularly a smartphone, you know what the clerk's first comment is: "You're going to need a case." And he's usually right.

I would generally recommend a case for the iPhone, screen protectors are a good buy too. There are also a lot of accessories that you don't necessarily need.
