TrollStore update with bug fixes brings the perma-signing utility up to version 1.1.1

We’ve been talking a lot about TrollStore lately, and for good reason. In the absence of a jailbreak for iOS & iPadOS 15, it’s the closest thing we’ve got. That’s because it lets users perma-sign apps on their iPhones and iPads with elevated privileges that come eerily close to the capabilities of jailbreak tweaks – see Cardio, Filza, Legizmo Kincaid, and Mugunghwa as just a few different examples.

On Thursday, TrollStore received another update from developer Opa334, officially bringing the utility up to version 1.1.1. While the update is indeed minor, it’s recommended for all users and introduces the following changes:

  • Work around some connectivity issues in TrollHelper and TrollStore on Chinese devices
  • Fix a bug where an app could not be uninstalled if it doesn’t have an Info.plist

Existing users can get the updated .ipa from the developer’s GitHub page, or use the handy OTA updating link in the TrollStore settings page:

If you’re a prospective user thinking about giving TrollStore a try, then you can download the .ipa from the developer’s GitHub page. We have written detailed tutorials showcasing how to install TrollStore on iOS & iPadOS 14 and 15 devices, which we’ve linked for your convenience below:

TrollStore officially supports iOS & iPadOS 14.0-15.1.1 devices, but it’s worth noting that it can also be installed via the ramdisk method on some devices running up to iOS & iPadOS 15.4.1 beta 4.

By perma-signing apps with TrollStore, you won’t need to re-sign them as would normally be the case with utilities such as AltStore and/or Sideloadly. More benefits to TrollStore are that everything can be handled on the device itself without a computer, and that installed apps are granted elevated privileges because of the exploit used.
