How to install TrollStore on non-jailbroken iOS 15.0-15.1.1 devices with TrollInstaller

We previously showed our readers how they could install TrollStore on a jailbroken iOS or iPadOS 14.0-14.8.1 device, but as we’ve said many times over in other posts, TrollStore also supports non-jailbroken iOS 15.0-15.1.1 devices. The only question, then, is how can you install it on a non-jailbroken device? Well, we intend to show you in today’s tutorial.

What is TrollStore?

Before we get started, it’s important to cover what TrollStore is and what TrollStore isn’t.

TrollStore is essentially a perma-signing utility for .ipa files. It uses an exploit in iOS and iPadOS to sideload apps permanently. So unlike traditional sideloading methods like AltStore and Sideloadly which made you re-sign apps every seven days (for free Apple developer accounts) or 365 days (for paid Apple developer accounts), you won’t need to re-sign the apps that you install with TrollStore.

TrollStore can install virtually any .ipa file, which even includes modded apps and/or jailbreak apps. So if you want, you can actually use TrollStore to keep your Taurine or unc0ver jailbreak app permanently signed, and it should also work well with the Dopamine jailbreak app for iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1.

TrollStore is not a jailbreak in and of itself. It’s merely utilizing an exploit in iOS & iPadOS 15.1.1 and older to make something useful happen. And we think you’re going to love it, especially as you wait for an iOS & iPadOS 15 jailbreak to surface.

Installing TrollStore on iOS 15.0-15.1.1

To install TrollStore on an iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1, you will need to sideload the TrollStore app initially. We will be using Sideloady for this process, but you could use AltStore if you want to. Here are the steps to do so:

1) Install Sideloady if you haven’t already. It’s a free download from the following URL for both macOS and Windows:

https://sideloadly.io/

2) Once installed, launch Sideloady:

3) Connect your iPhone or iPad to your Mac or PC with a Lightning cable.

4) Check to see that Sideloady detects your iPhone or iPad, and enter the Apple ID email associated with your free Apple Developer account:

Note: If Sideloady doesn’t see your iPhone or iPad, you may need to “trust” it from the device and from Finder and/or iTunes.

5) If everything checks out, launch a web browser and visit the following URL:

https://github.com/opa334/TrollStore/releases

6) Click on the TrollInstaller.ipa link, and this will initiate a download the sideloadable TrollInstaller app:

7) Once downloaded, visit your Downloads folder and locate the TrollInstaller .ipa file:

8) Drag the TrollInstaller .ipa file over the empty IPA box in the Sideloady app and drop it:

9) Click the Start button in the Sideloady window:

10) Enter your Apple ID password when prompted, then click the blue OK button:

Note: Sideloady will now begin sideloading TrollInstaller.

11) When finished, Sideloady will display the word “Done” at the bottom, like so:

12) Grab your iPhone or iPad to find and launch the Settings app:

13) Navigate to General → VPN & Device Management and tap on your Apple ID under the Developer App heading:

14) Tap on the blue Verify App button, then tap Verify again when prompted:

15) With TrollInstaller now trusted, return to the Home Screen.

16) Launch the TrollInstaller app

17) Tap the blue Install button at the bottom of the app:

Note: This process will exploit your device to install the TrollStore app. Wait until it is finished.

18) When TrollInstaller finishes what it needs to do, you can return to the Home Screen to find the TrollStore app:

And that’s all there is to it! You’ve successfully installed TrollStore and can now use it to perma-sign apps on your device, even without a jailbreak.

Conclusion

Having the ability to not only sideload apps on your non-jailbroken device, but keep them permanently signed as well, is a powerful feature that’s only possible because of the exploit that TrollStore takes advantage of.

Assuming you’re using this to install modded applications or jailbreak apps, you’ll enjoy this capability as it means you get to spend less time around your computer and more time enjoying your life.
