Jailbreak tweaks of the week: AppEditor, MacPass, Vaon, & more…

The jailbreak community has introduced a lot of fascinating jailbreak tweaks recently, and given how quickly time seems to pass everyone by, it can be easy to miss those interesting developments along the way as life keeps us distracted.

That’s just one reason why we come at you every Sunday with a curated roundup just like this one that showcases all the latest jailbreak tweak releases and jailbreak-centric news.

In this piece, we’ll show you all the latest jailbreak stuff spanning Monday, June 28th to Sunday, July 4th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by discussing our favorite releases first and then wrap it all up with an outline of everything else afterward.

Our favorite releases this week

AppEditor – $4.99

AppEditor is a slick jailbreak tweak that lets users perform various per-app actions with a simple swipe-up gesture on the app icon in question.

Need to clear a particular app’s cache, or find an app’s bundleID? Or perhaps you merely want a shortcut to respring your device? This tweak has a little of something for everyone.

You can learn all about AppEditor and how it works in our full review.

MacPass – FREE

MacPass is an interesting jailbreak tweak for anyone who likes how the login screen looks on the Mac and wishes their iPhone’s looked the same.

With it, you can have a profile picture, a password text bar, and a dedicated username just like you would have on a Mac when logging in.

You can learn all about MacPass and how it augments the user experience of the Lock Screen in our full review.

MediaWidget – $1.00

iOS 14 includes a lot of different widgets right out of the box, but discernibly absent is one for the Now Playing experience.

MediaWidget fills this void by adding a fully functional and resizable Now Playing widget to the iOS 14 widget selection interface.

You can learn all about MediaWidget and how it works in our full review.

Vaon – FREE

Last on this week’s list of our favorites is Vaon, a slick tweak that augments the App Switcher with an integrated battery module.

The battery module displayed by Vaon looks exactly like the one offered by iOS 14’s Home Screen widgets, but it’s much more customizable.

You can learn about all the customizations that are possible with Vaon in our full review.
