Learn how to ask Apple to resend you the purchase receipt for your app, movies, TV shows, or service subscriptions from iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Do you need a copy of your purchase receipt for paid apps and services? Maybe your company reimburses you for certain purchases, or your accountant needs the details for your tax deductions. Whatever the case may be, you can obtain receipts for subscriptions to both apps and services.
To make things even easier, you can also enable a setting to receive your future subscription renewal receipts via email. Then, just forward them to whoever needs them!
Get purchase receipts from Apple
We have mentioned the steps for both iOS and macOS.
iOS
1) Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name at the top.
2) Tap Media & Purchases and then View Account.
3) Tap Purchase History to see your recent media purchases, app purchases, and subscriptions. Tap the “Last 90 Days, Paid” at the top to change the time frame if needed.
4) Then, pick an app or subscription to view its details.
5) You may not see a resend option for app purchases; take a screenshot of the receipt if necessary, and then email or print it for your records. For subscriptions and media purchases, you can take a screenshot or tap Resend Receipt to get it on your Apple Account email address.
Mac
- Open the Music app and click Account > Account Settings from the top menu bar.
- Click Purchase History.
- Click the purchase or subscription and use the Resend Email Receipt option to receive the receipt via email.
Turn on the Renewal Receipts option
To make sure you’ve your subscription receipts on hand when it’s renewal time, you can enable a simple setting to receive them via email.
iOS
- Go to the iPhone or iPad Settings app and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Media & Purchases > View Account > Subscriptions.
- Enable the toggle for Renewal Receipt Email.
Mac
