How to stop your iPhone from changing screen brightness

While some people might like their iPhone screen brightness to change according to their surroundings, you might not. You can manually make your screen brighter or dimmer, but there is a setting that can be disabled so that you never have to worry about it.

Here’s how to stop your iPhone from automatically changing screen brightness.

Disable the Auto-Brightness setting

Before you disable the Auto-Brightness setting, you should know that this is one of those features that Apple gives us to preserve battery life. So, if you notice a change in your battery after adjusting this setting, you’ll know why.

To disable the Auto-Brightness setting, follow these steps:

1) Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.

2) Tap Accessibility.

3) Select Display & Text Size.

4) Next to Auto-Brightness, move its switch to the Off position.

Control your screen brightness manually

Even though you can manually adjust the brightness of your screen with Auto-Brightness enabled, you can now have more control.

Adjust your screen in Settings > Display & Brightness by moving the slider at the top under Brightness.

Alternatively, you can change the screen brightness quickly in your Control Center.
