While some people might like their iPhone screen brightness to change according to their surroundings, you might not. You can manually make your screen brighter or dimmer, but there is a setting that can be disabled so that you never have to worry about it.
Here’s how to stop your iPhone from automatically changing screen brightness.
Disable the Auto-Brightness setting
Before you disable the Auto-Brightness setting, you should know that this is one of those features that Apple gives us to preserve battery life. So, if you notice a change in your battery after adjusting this setting, you’ll know why.
To disable the Auto-Brightness setting, follow these steps:
1) Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
2) Tap Accessibility.
3) Select Display & Text Size.
4) Next to Auto-Brightness, move its switch to the Off position.
Control your screen brightness manually
Even though you can manually adjust the brightness of your screen with Auto-Brightness enabled, you can now have more control.
Adjust your screen in Settings > Display & Brightness by moving the slider at the top under Brightness.
Alternatively, you can change the screen brightness quickly in your Control Center.
