Hitman: Sniper, Word Dream, Get Hi, and more to check out this weekend

Apps of the week

If you are feeling burned out from a long week of working too hard for someone else, maybe it’s time you treated yourself to something nice. Maybe you’ve been eying a cool game, or want to find a new way to get organized. If you are looking for something to relax with on your iPhone this weekend, we’ve got a list of apps and games we think you will enjoy.

Hitman: Sniper

Hitman Sniper

The same company that brought us Hitman GO for iOS, is back with another mobile version of the popular Agent 47 series. This fixed-position shooter has players waiting, preparing, and steading their hand to get that shot from across town. There are more than 150 missions with 13 new guns. Your goal is to take down the target without getting caught. Your reward is weapons parts that are used to create the ultimate sniper rifle. If you are good enough to compete, you might find yourself on the Leaderboard as the best assassin in the world. This game is available for $4.99.

Word Dream

Dream Word

Sometimes, words just don’t do enough to express your feelings. Sometimes, a beautifully designed image can help. This app turns your text into a designer expression using an algorithm that includes fonts, frames, and more. There are more than 25 graphics and 13 different image filters. You can choose the style, color, and layout to add to your image. If you are having trouble thinking of something to say, choose from 200 premade quotes. You can add shadows, gradients, and other effects to make your meme pop. This app is on sale for free.

Get Hi

Get Hi

This game is from the same developer who created Okay? and Sometimes You Die. Just like his others, this is a simplistic game with just enough going on to keep you interested. In it, players bounce a ball higher and higher by tapping the screen to flick the boards. You can’t tilt to get a better angle. Once you’ve launched the ball from a board, you just have to hope it lands on another one so you can flick it upwards again. You can also collect new skins and switch between them for a new look each time. This game is available for free.

Formulas – Photo Lab Effects and Custom Frames

Give your photos something a little special by adding artistic filters and frames with this editing app. The custom multilayered photo properties are specially designed by photographer Dirk Wuestenhagen. They add unique style to your pictures, like vintage film emulations, textured finishes, and painting effects. The frames, also designed by Wuestenhagen, are made from high quality scans of vintage paper, word fabric, weathered stone, and more. The auto-adjusting tool analyzes the color and tone of your photo and adjusts to create the best effect with one tap. This app is available for $1.99.
