Coda Forte bluetooth headphones offer wireless quality

When using a headphone, cable is not an option, switching to Bluetooth is obviously the best idea. There are many areas where cordless headphones are optimum, including late nights playing your favorite iOS game next to your wife, who is sleeping and doesn't know you broke the no-gadgets-in-the-bedroom agreement. Keeping yourself out of the dog house is made simple with a pair of headphones.

However, fumbling around with a cord is not always preferred. iFrogz, which was purchased by ZAGG, would agree that wireless is the way to take listening to the next level. The iFrogz Audio Coda Forte Bluetooth Headphones with Mic, which I will term "Coda" henceforth, is an answer to the corded headphones of the past. Having previously reviewed ZAGG headphones, I am not new to the ZAGG audio scene but the Bluetooth addition is new territory...

Gestrument LE review: make beautiful music without being a musician

In the current age of technology, a person doesn’t have to be a musician to play music. From fake guitars that play chords when you tap the screen to deeply technological wave table synthesizers, the iPhone has made it possible for anyone to write, record, and perform songs like a pro.

Gestrument LE is a music app that lets you create interesting and beautiful songs just by dragging your finger across the screen of your iPhone. We go hands on as we review the app...

Pet Peaves Monsters review: Digimon for the 21st century

In the mid 1990s, digital virtual pets like Tamagotchi were hooked to the belt loop of every kid in elementary school. By the late 1990s, toy companies were looking for ways to improve on the pet simulation craze that had swept the nation. That is where Digimon came in. These adorable digital monsters did more than eat, sleep, and poop. They fought other monsters and it was cool.

Pet Peaves Monsters is very similar to the digital pet craze of the 1990s, complete with fighting monsters that battle others head-to-head across devices in a multiplayer arena, and it's cool…

First iOS 7, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s reviews hit the web

Right after its big iPhone event last Tuesday, Apple gave a select group of journalists early access to the final build of iOS 7, along with its two new handsets: the iPhone 5c and the iPhone 5s.

The move is a familiar one for the company, who typically gives out products for analysis ahead of launch. And tonight, right on schedule, the embargo lifted on this week's round of reviews...

TapeACall Pro review: record phone conversations on your iPhone

I record telephone conversations a lot. It is part of my business as a media writer. I regularly interview people for stories and oftentimes, they don’t live anywhere near me, so I record the interview over the phone. Normally, I use a 10-year-old digital recorder connected to an adapter that is connected to my landline. I’ve always wanted to be able to use my iPhone for interviews.

TapeACall Pro lets you record your telephone conversations on your iPhone and share your audio files through Dropbox, Evernote, and more. Just be sure to tell the person you are talking to that you are recording the conversation. It's the law...

CanOpener review: fine-tune the audio output of your iPhone’s headphones

I am a huge music fan. If it is possible to have such a thing as eating, sleeping, and breathing music, I do it. I am also fairly picky about what my music sounds like. Unless I’ve got my iPhone connected to an external speaker, I tend to avoid using it to listen to music.

CanOpener is a processor app that allows you to tweak, adjust, and fine-tune your iPhone to offer the best possible quality of audio output through just about any type of headphone on the market…

Giant Boulder of Death review: this game will bowl you over

Fans of Robot Unicorn Attack 2 and Monsters Ate my Condo will be happy to know that the games’ creators are back with a destructive new game that is as bizarre as their other titles.

Giant Boulder of Death is an endless runner, or endless roller, if you will, that lets you run down Mounties, crash into Yetis, and destroy idyllic mountain towns…

Calendars 5 review: one of the best calendar apps for iOS

A few days ago, Readdle launched a brand new calendar app in the App Store. No, this is not just an update to Calendars + with a new skin. This is a brand new app with brand new features.

Calendars 5 is an iOS 7 friendly productivity app that lets you sync with your Google or iOS calendar, add reminders from your iOS Reminders app, and the best part, it is a universal app for both iPhone and iPad…

FlowDoku makes the game of Sudoku a little less intimidating

I’ve never been very good at Sudoku. Whenever I try, I get all jumbled up around the bottom few grids. For me, it is because the numbers are so daunting. I see a bunch of numbers and all I can think of is math.

FlowDoku lets you have the experience of solving Sudoku-type puzzles without the intimidation of looking at series of seemingly unconnected numbers. Instead, you solve the puzzles with shapes…

Grades 3 review: take class organization to the next level

There have been a lot of new productivity apps launched recently that are specifically designed for students. If only I were still in school, I might have a much easier time keeping my class schedules, homework, and exams organized.

Grades 3 is a student-based productivity iPhone app that organizes your tasks, homework, and exams. It also reminds you of upcoming projects that are due, keeps contacts for your groups, and tracks your grades. Plus, it was just recently completely redesigned with plenty of new features…

Never lose your iPhone in the dark with glowing Slickwraps cases

I find myself fumbling around in the dark looking for my iPhone, while trying not to wake my wife. Black iPhone, dark room, black side table are all my enemies when trying to get my late night Twitter fix. Not that Slickwraps designed a case to encourage bed time iPhone junkies, but I find the glowing aura of this case helpful in similar situations.

When I first offered to review the Slickwraps glow series case, I figured it was a novelty item that children might find in a $.25 grab machine at the local bowling alley. After using the case for more than a week, I am happily surprised to believe quite the opposite of my original impressions...

Star Wars Force Collection review: bring out your dark side

Speaking as a confirmed Star Wars fan with pretty decent creds to back up my obsession, I was both overly excited and justifiably leery of Konami’s new collectable card game (CCG) based on my favorite movie of all time.

Star Wars Force Collection is a CCG that is based on everyone’s favorite scruffy-looking Nerf herder and his band of lovable misfits. Sounds like a dream come true for sci-fi nerds, but does it live up to its namesake…
