MacRumors points to a new headphone jack/earpiece/Wi-Fi cable component that recently popped up on SW-BOX.com. Although the piece shows out of stock, the parts vendor claims that it indeed belongs to the iPhone 5...

Rumor: familiar-looking ‘iPhone 5’ SIM tray surfaces

For the second time in the last two weeks, a parts vendor has leaked a purported 'iPhone 5' component. Last Tuesday we saw some Home buttons surface that reportedly belonged to Apple's next-generation handset, and now we've come across a SIM card tray.

As noted by MacRumors, SW-BOX.com has posted some information on a claimed 'iPhone 5' SIM card tray that it's apparently just obtained from one of its parts suppliers. And, as the site points out, it looks nearly identical to its iPhone 4/4S counterpart...

Rumor: Chinese parts vendor leaks next-generation iPhone home buttons

Oh great, it looks like next-generation iPhone part leaks are starting early this year. Apple Bitch points to TVC-Mall, a Chinese parts vendor, who has listed "iPhone 5" home buttons for sale on its website.

While the buttons look fairly similar to those found on current iOS devices, the vendor claims that they are in fact noticeably different...

New iPad 3 component photos show home button

Apple sparked a lot of controversy earlier this week when it sent out media invites to its iPad 3 event. The invitations included a photo of what most believe to be the company's new tablet — with no Home button.

As you can imagine, this has led to a lot of speculation that Apple's next slate will be button-less. But according to these new photos of purported iPad 3 components, that's just not the case...

iPad 3 Retina Display confirmed

After months of speculation, it appears that it has now been confirmed that Apple's next tablet will feature a Retina display.

The confirmation comes from the folks over at MacRumors, who have just gotten their hands on one of the purported iPad 3 display panels that have been floating around China for the past few weeks...

That being said, the folks over at BlogdoiPhone are claiming that they've managed to acquire a Pre-GM version of iOS 5.1. And among the new features they've discovered, is a new Lock Screen camera icon (pictured above)...

Parts retailer confirms that leaked iPad 3 components could be the real deal

We've seen a lot of evidence over the past few weeks that suggests that we are very close to seeing Apple unveil its next-generation tablet. Among that evidence are several "leaked" iPad 3 components, including a display panel and rear shell casing.

Now the same parts retailer that leaked the Sharp-made high resolution display last week has confirmed that the screen actually fits in the back shell casing, adding more credibility to its story that these are in fact iPad 3 components...

More evidence that iPad 3 production is in full swing

It seems like it's been raining iPad 3 rumors over the past couple of days. Yesterday we heard that the upcoming tablet may not include the quad-core processor we've been anticipating. And we also saw a purported image of the slate's backing.

Then last night, both 9to5Mac and Apple.pro posted photos of what they claim to be next-generation iPad components. The pictures show both the front and the back of the tablet's shell, as well as what appears to be Smart Cover magnets...

Is This a Photo of the Next iPod Nano?

It seems like it's raining spy shots today. Hot on the heels of the purported iPad 3 photo BGR leaked this morning comes an image of, what several folks are calling, the next iPod nano.

Rumor: More Claimed iPad 3 Parts Shown, Possible New Internals

More supposed iPad 3 parts have surfaced that appear to show differences between existing iPad 2 hardware and an unknown device. Published by Macotakara, the new photos show an existing iPad 2 dock connector cable alongside the new part, which it is speculated belongs to Apple's third generation iPad.

Just as any sane person would predict, Apple appears to be sticking to its classic 30-pin dock connector as a source of power and a way of syncing, rather than moving to the industry standard USB solution that is preferred by much of the competition...

Rumor: Leaked iPad 3 Microphone Points to Possible Redesign

If there is one thing with more leaks than a broken sink, it has to be the iOS device parts industry. No big iPhone or iPad release goes by without at least one of its various internal parts leaking out of one of Apple's manufacturing partners.

The rumored iPad 3 is no different, with photographs of one such part leaking out via Cydia Blog. The part, reportedly an iPad 3 microphone flex cable, is currently available for purchase from TVC-Mall along with two other supposed iPad 3 parts which leaked earlier this year.

Hidden Panorama Mode Uncovered in the iOS Camera

Developer and hacker conradev has uncovered a hidden panorama mode in the iOS Camera app. By changing a key value in the iOS SDK, a Panorama mode is unlocked in the Camera app that lets iPhone users capture a panorama image by snapping photos continually from left to right.

While it's unclear as to why this feature is hidden in iOS, it can only be assumed that Apple will eventually release it to the public in due time.
