AT&T and Verizon data plans for LTE iPad revealed

Apple's online store is slowly creeping back online, and as we go to purchase the new iPad, AT&T and Verizon's LTE data plans for the LTE iPad have been revealed. Nothing has changed from the old 3G data options. Both carriers are still offering similar pricing, but have different options available.

AT&T is offering the lowest amount of data, offering only 250MB per month for $14.99, while Verizon offers the highest of 10GB per month for $80...

Apple releases iTunes 10.6

While we've already heard about Apple's new iPad and Apple TV, a few more things are trickling out after the event that just wrapped up in California. Along with iOS 5.1 and the new iPhoto for iPad, Apple will also launch iTunes 10.6 this afternoon.

There's no word on new features, but it will of course feature support for iOS 5.1...

iPad 3 specs revealed

The new iPad 3 is nothing short of amazing. Of course the star of the show is the beautiful Retina display that brings 4 times more pixels to your screen that its predecessor. All this powered by Apple's own A5X processor.

But what else is hiding under the hood of Apple's new tablet? We have the full iPad 3 specs for you, right here...

Watch the iPad 3 video presentation

Apple just posted a video presentation of the iPad 3 on its website. It's not available on YouTube or for download yet, but I assume it's just a matter of time.

Go over Apple's website to see how beautiful the Retina display looks on the iPad 3...

Apple to keep entry-level iPad 2 around for $399

It looks like a lot of our forecasts are materializing today, including the iPad 2 sticking around. We figured we'd see Apple continue to sell last year's tablet after today, with a bit of a price drop to appeal to a wider audience.

And that's exactly what it's doing. Apple just announced that it will be keeping the iPad 2 around for folks that aren't impressed with the new slate's features starting at just $399...

iPad 3 now available for pre-order

As announced earlier today, you can now pre-order your iPad directly from Apple for delivery on March 16th.

The iPad 3 comes in several flavors. Black, white, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, Wi-Fi or LTE. Fortunately for your wallet, prices remain similar to what they've been for the last two years...

Apple introduces iPhoto for iPad

Apple has been slowly porting its popular suite of iLife applications from the Mac to iOS over the last 12 months. There's iMovie for iOS, and GarageBand. And now the company has just introduced iPhoto for iPad.

Just like its Mac OS counterpart, iPhoto for iPad is a photo management app that will "give you great new ways to browse through all of your photos, and has truly groundbreaking ways to edit those photos."

The new iPad has 10-hour battery, will run on LTE for 9 hours

Something the iPad has always been able to claim is great battery life. Both the first and second generations of the tablet have had a 10 hour battery — meaning you could practically use the thing for 10 hours straight before it died.

But with the new iPad's upgraded hardware, a lot of folks have wondered if it would be able to hold around that 10 hour mark. I mean, between a new Retina display, quad-core processor and 4G LTE, it can't possibly maintain great battery life. Can it?

The new iPad has a 5MP camera capable of taking 1080p videos

Apple has just announced its new iPad and is going down the list of its new features. We're now talking about the tablet's new backside camera and it looks like that, as expected, it's received a major update.

The camera system in Apple's new tablet is very similar to the setup in the iPhone 4S. It has a backside illuminated sensor, 5 element lens, IR filter, and ISP (Image Signal Processing) built into the slate's new A5X processor...

The new iPad 4G LTE confirmed for Verizon, AT&T and others

The rumors were true. The new iPad will come equipped with a 4G LTE option for speeds much faster than current 3G speeds.

Even better is the fact that almost everyone in the United States will be able to benefit, because LTE is for both Verizon and AT&T, just as we expected.

But folks in other countries won't be left out. Verizon, Rogers, Bell, Telus and AT&T are all featured LTE partners.

New iPad gets dictation

Still no word about Siri as I am typing this, but the new iPad sure is coming with dication support. Just like the iPhone 4S, it supports English, French, German, and of course now, Japanese.

It's not been confirmed that this will come to previous iPad models as well, but I doubt it. Just like Siri for the iPhone 4S, dictation on the iPad will be one of those features that could technically be ported to older devices, but won't for marketing reasons.

Apple A5X quad core graphics confirmed

The iPad A5X processor with quad core graphics was confirmed today at Apple's new iPad media event.

When comparing to competitors Phile Schiller said: "The Apple A5 was already twice as fast. This is a graphics powerhouse."

Seeing that the current A5 chip inside the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2 is no slouch, it's insane to think of how much horsepower is behind this chip. It should have no problem keeping the new Retina Display satisfied...
