Quite a few heads began spinning on Thursday after Odyssey Team lead developer CoolStar made a comment in the team’s Discord channel that mentioned how the upcoming Cheyote jailbreak for iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1 would “probably” be a free release, followed by an explanation of how CoolStar has been spending most of her time lately.
Over the course of this past weekend weekend, we witnessed the release of another iOS 9 jailbreak called Blizzard, which supports legacy 32-bit devices running iOS 9.0-9.3.6.

Odyssey Team lead developer CoolStar just last week shared a comprehensive rundown of the status of the upcoming iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1-based Cheyote jailbreak to the Sileo / Taurine / Odyssey Discord channel. In doing so, the community received valuable insight into the team’s progress.
There’s been a lot of doom and gloom in the jailbreak community lately given the challenges associated with jailbreaking iOS & iPadOS 15. In fact, even Odyssey Team lead developer CoolStar has been on record discussing how iOS & iPadOS 15.1.1 would likely be the last firmware they develop a jailbreak for because of how much more difficult Apple appears to be making things.
The Odyssey Team’s upcoming iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1 jailbreak is well underway, and as a token of excitement this Sunday afternoon, the team took to Twitter to show off the interface of said jailbreak, which appears as if it will be going by the name of Cheyote.
Jailbreakers who use any of the Odyssey Team’s tools should be familiar with libhooker, as it’s the primary tweak injection method used by those jailbreaks so that tweaks can hook into system processes and work how they’re expected to.
