iOS 10 has a lot going on. There are a lot of enhancements that we've covered so far, and many more we haven't. New features aside, many people have been digging through iOS 10 beta in search for unannounced features, or upcoming devices.

Thanks to iOS developer Andrew Wiik, we have another idea of what might be coming in a future iOS 10 beta: the sought-after cellular data toggle in Control Center.

Bloomberg: Intel cellular modems will be reserved for AT&T iPhone 7 models

Supply chain whispers recently claimed that a significant portion of LTE cellular modems for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus would be built by Intel instead of Qualcomm and now Bloomberg is reporting that Intel modems will be actually reserved for AT&T iPhone 7 models.

Qualcomm is expected to remain Apple's modem provider for Verizon and China-bound iPhone 7 handsets. Qualcomm's boss had said he expected a major customer to diversify its supplier base.

CoySIM lets jailbreakers get rid of annoying No SIM alerts on iPhone

If you have more than one iPhone sitting around because one is your older handset and the other is your daily driver, then chances are your older iPhone no longer has service and may or may not still have its SIM card inside of it.

We'll show you how the tweak works in this review.

SIM eject tools are useful for getting SIM cards out of iPhones and iPads, and honestly, I would recommend everyone who owns one of these devices carry at least one of them at all times, whether in your wallet or on a key ring.

Apple’s just been granted a patent for a MacBook with embedded cellular connectivity

The United States Patents and Trademark Office (USPTO) today granted Apple a brand new patent which seems to address a longstanding complaint among MacBook owners: the machine's lack of an embedded cellular connectivity.

Titled “Electronic device with dual clutch barrel cavity antennas” and originally filed for in the second quarter of 2015, the invention describes using additional wireless circuitry for cellular data via cavity antenna structures that are not present on current MacBooks.

Apple working to form ‘strategic partnerships’ with Indian carriers ahead of 4G expansion

Shortly after his pre-dawn spiritual experience at the Shree Siddhivinayak Temple at Prabhadevi in Mumbai, Apple CEO Tim Cook met the country's top wireless carriers in an effort to strike a "strategic partnership” ahead of a wide-scale LTE expansion in the country.

India, home to population of 1.25 billion people, is about to witness the advent of high-speed fourth-generation wireless networks, a move that Apple sees as the opportunity to expand the market for iPhones, as reported today by The Economic Times of India.

DigiTimes: Intel to supply at least half of iPhone 7’s faster LTE cellular modems

Rumors continue to swirl that Intel had been commissioned to build LTE modem chips for Apple's upcoming smartphone refresh, a marquee win for the semiconductor giant.

Tuesday, Taiwanese trade publication DigiTimes reported that Intel may supply up to fifty percent of LTE modems for the forthcoming iPhone 7 models.

Although Intel itself will package the modems, the chips will be mass-produced by contract manufacturers TSMC and KYEC, as per DigiTimes, indicating that the iPhone 7's 'A10' system-on-a-chip may integrate an Intel-built LTE modem. These Intel-designed LTE modems for the iPhone 7 are said to be faster than those in the iPhone 6s.

Airplane Enhancer+ takes iPhone battery preservation to the extreme

Airplane Mode icon.

Airplane Mode is a feature built into your iOS devices that makes your devices airplane friendly by disabling all the wireless radios that could be a nuisance to on-board plane equipment, but it can also be used to increase your battery life.

Since the wireless radios are put to rest when your device's Airplane Mode option is enabled, you'll burn through less battery on a single charge with the feature turned on, and this is basically the idea behind a new jailbreak tweak dubbed Airplane Enhancer+.

WSJ: Apple Watch 2 will have cellular connectivity

In its report Monday which details the first full year of Apple Watch sales, the Wall Street Journal newspaper has revealed a previously unknown tidbit pertaining to a second-generation Apple Watch. According to the publication's sources, the Apple Watch 2 will feature cellular-network connectivity and a faster processor.

Although the Apple Watch can connect to Wi-Fi networks you have previously joined on your iPhone, the Cupertino company is reportedly aware that its wearable device suffers from limited usefulness because it cannot connect to cellular networks on its own and requires an iPhone for network connectivity if there are no known Wi-Fi networks around.

Sprint to fix an issue preventing iPhone users from connecting to LTE cellular data

Sprint customers took to Reddit to complain about the inability to connect to Sprint's LTE cellular data network after upgrading to Apple's iOS 9.3 software update last week. The most recent iOS 9.3.1 update does not appear to have fixed the issue.

Sprint has acknowledged the issue in a text message to affected users and promised a fix, which will likely be delivered in the form of an over-the-air carrier settings update. “Your iPhone may be having data connection issues with the recent software update,” reads Sprint's message. “We're working quickly to fix. We apologize for the inconvenience”.
