iBooks Updated To Version 1.2.2

I have to say, I absolutely love using the iBooks app on all my iDevices. This has to be one of the best features (in my opinion) in iOS 4, and since its release I've been using it at least once every week. If you're an iBooks user, you'll be glad to know Apple has pushed out another update to further improve the iBooks experience.

Apple yesterday updated its popular iBook app with several important bug fixes, stability and performance improvements.

Viber Gets Serious About Challenging Skype, Adds Free Text Messaging

Viber is the product of a small Israeli startup, Viber Media Inc. They launched the first version of their VoIP app back in December of last year to rave reviews.

Much like Skype, Viber makes free phone calls over Wi-Fi and 3G to other users with the Viber client. Unlike Skype, there's no need to create an account.

The typical process for making calls with 3rd party applications can be tedious. Signing up for accounts, verifying email address, and setting up contact lists are usually involved when using Skype or similar services. Viber made some waves with their no-username policy, and is set to do so again with the app's latest update...

Twitter for iPhone Removes the Quick Bar

Remember when the official Twitter app added the Dick.. er.. Quick Bar in a recent update? The Quick Bar was Twitter's attempt at "sharing information" with users. It was also a clever revenue option for displaying promoted tweets.

Twitter has finally killed the Quick Bar. After a brief and painful run, the Quick Bar has been removed from the official Twitter app in a new update.

Google Voice is a VoIP alternative for calling and texting with a wireless number. Instead of using a phone number provided by your carrier, Google Voice gives you a number that ties into its web service for calling, voicemail, and SMS.

There are now multiple Google Voice apps on the App Store, and one app in-particular has received a significant revamp. GV Mobile+ was the first Google Voice app in the App Store, but when Google released their official Google Voice app, GV Mobile+ took a back seat to the features that the official app offered.

GV Mobile+ is now updated and better than ever. Let's take a look...
