How to Remove the New “Quick Bar” in Twitter for iPhone

The official Twitter for iPhone app has been updated with several new features. Unlike previous minor updates, Twitter 3.3 packs some significant changes to the app's interface.

While there are some definite improvements in the app, many users have been complaining that the update does more harm than good…

Camera+ is Back in The App Store

The Camera+ fiasco has been an interesting one to follow. The popular photography app was a sensation when it was first released in the App Store. Then, it was pulled. Just like that. The app was updated with a backdoor to allow a volume button camera shutter, which apparently Apple didn't like.

At the time of it being pulled, Camera+ was considered the crème de la crème of photography apps. Most felt as though Apple should have lightened up on Camera+ by not pulling the app for simply adding a cool and innovative feature. The problem was that Camera+ violated Apple's guidelines on how an app can interface with the iPhone's controls.

We recently reported that Camera+ had announced that its return to the App Store would be very soon. After many months of silence, Camera+ is back and better than ever...

Google Brings Push Notifications to the iPhone

The Google Mobile application for the iPhone now offers push notifications for Gmail and the Google Calendar. The app is free in the App Store and is said to offer "real" notifications that give you message type previews.

Previously iPhone users were required to use a 3rd party service to bring these types of notifications to their iPhones. Also included in the app is "search as you type" results.

Facebook Update Fixes Login Bug on Jailbroken iPhones

There is another update out for Facebook's iPhone application that apparently fixes a bug related to logging in from a jailbroken iPhone. Version 3.2.2 is out and ready to go in the update section in your App Store access zone.

Mashable adds that the update is said to include an announcement regarding the location based feature Places we reported about, which states that they are currently working on making the feature available to more countries (outside the US) soon.

Apparently when you click on the the icon from outside the US it announces that the feature will be coming to your region soon. The featured ability was said to be available for other countries but when released users could only see the check-ins of their friends.

I found it interesting that Facebook publicly catered to individuals who have jailbroken their devices. If you were amongst those experiencing the login difficulties please let us know if this update resolved your issue in the comment box below.

Is Facebook the iPhone’s Best Friend?

When we reported about the Facebook app update that includes their location based check-in feature Places, we had no idea how influential the iPhone was to the social media giant. The man who authors The Facebook Effect reveals some amazing statistics that, while cannot be proved (he states they are highly secretive), show just how important iDevices have become to Facebook.

Here's the quote as it reads on 9 to 5 Mac:
