Starborn Anarkist proves that recycling really pays off

This article isn’t about how important I think it is that consumers reduce their excessive use of plastic, paper, and glass. I’m not going to get on my soapbox and tell you that you should be composting your leftovers. I am talking about recycling, but not in the way you may think.

Starborn Anarkist is a dual stick shooter that features an intergalactic garbage collector who has finally flipped his lid. Players go on a laser-guided rampage, destroying every ship in sight. Then, use the debris from your destruction to upgrade your ship and show those waste-makers how to take out the trash (these puns are just getting out of hand)...

Tank Domination rumbles through the App Store

When I was a little kid, I “played tanks.” That is, I drew a picture of a tank on one side of a blank piece of paper, and then drew another tank on the other side. Then, I’d “pew, pew, pew” as I drew dotted lies across the page, finishing with a nice, scribbly “ka-ploosh” as my Crayola-based ammunitions struck the armored vehicles.

Tank Domination is sort of like playing tanks. Except the paper is an iPad, the Crayola drawings are high-definition graphics, and the “pew, pew, pew” is awesome explosions that look so real it will melt your face off…

Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance and Space Wolf coming to iOS in 2014

Games Workshop is adamant to take over Apple's iOS platform by storm. Its Warhammer Quest for the iPhone and iPad was released earlier this year to generally positive reviews (read Lory's take).

But more Warhammer-branded games are scheduled for release on iOS devices in the upcoming months.

Back in August, they announced Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, a new title coming to the App Store in 2014. And now, another upcoming Warhammer iOS game has been announced, called Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance.

Both Storm of Vengeance and Space Wolf are due in 2014 and feature a selection of characters from the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Space Wolf, developed by Hero Craft, is a free-to-play, turn-based tactical combat game.

As for Storm of Vengeance, it's being developed by Eutechnyx of the Ninja Cats vs Samurai Dogs fame and tells the story of “a pivotal moment in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, during the legendary planetary conflict on Piscina IV,” according to a recent press release.
