Monster suing Apple Beats founders Dre and Iovine over headphone line

Monster, who helped create the original Beats headphones in 2007, is suing Apple's Beats Electronics in a San Mateo County Superior Court, USA Today first reported on Tuesday.

The suit, filed on Tuesday and discussed by Monster CEO Noel Lee at CES 2015, says that the Beats co-founders Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre concealed the role of Monster and Lee in designing and engineering the headphone line, as well as educating them about engineering, manufacturing, distributing, and selling the headphones that Monster and Lee invented.

iOS 8 adoption rate jumps to 68% of iOS devices

According to Apple's own App Store Distribution support page, 68% of iOS devices are now running iOS 8. This adoption rate has jumped by 4 percentage points since it was last updated on December 22nd. In the meantime, and not surprisingly, iOS 7 adoption rate has decreased by 3 percentage point, only representing 29% of the install base, while earlier iOS versions are still at 4%.

Those doing the math at home will be quick to notice that the numbers don't add up. Indeed, if you add up the numbers showed above, they amount to 101%, an error most likely due to an awkward round up of numbers. Still, we get the big picture.

Nuntius brings native iOS 8 quick reply to WhatsApp

One of the best things about using the Messages app in iOS 8 is the quick reply interface. Sadly, third party apps don't have access to the quick reply API, so they are limited in this regard. Wouldn't it be nice if one of your favorite messaging apps got access to real native iOS 8 quick reply? That's the exact premise behind Nuntius, a brand new jailbreak tweak that brings true native iOS 8 quick reply to WhatsApp.

Apple Watch set to launch in March, says new report

Apple is planning to launch its Apple Watch within the next month or two, according to a new report from 9to5Mac. The site's Mark Gurman says that the company is finishing up work on the wearable's software, and sources familiar with the project say it's on track to begin shipping in the US by the end of March.

Alleged details for Apple’s next-gen 12-inch MacBook Air surface

Details of the long-rumored 12-inch MacBook Air surfaced today, as 9to5mac broke specifics surrounding the device's dimensions, edge-to-edge keyboard, and lack of traditional ports. Although the device's screen size is larger and of a higher pixel density than that of the 11-inch MacBook Air, its dimensions are narrower than its smaller counterpart by approximately a one-fourth inch. It is, however, slightly taller due to the larger screen size, with an approximate one-fourth inch increase in height.

Bezels have been reduced around the entire screen of the device, as well as surrounding the keyboard, and the keyboard itself has been made narrower by reducing the space between each individual key. The 12-inch MacBook Air's function keys, as well as arrow keys, have also been tweaked in order to reduce the keyboard's overall footprint.
