How to change your password settings in Apple Books

Mac Books Password Required

If you purchase books often in the Books app on your device, then it may get tiresome having to enter your password each time. This is especially true if you’re downloading several books in a short time that you’re saving to read later.

While entering your password for purchases is always the safest route, you can set your password to only be required after 15 minutes of the first purchase. That way, if you want to purchase a handful of books at one time, you don’t have to enter your password for each one.

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to change your password settings for purchases in the Books app on Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

Hub is a powerful all-in-one interface for jailbroken iPhones

One of the first things that you’ll want to do after jailbreaking iOS 13 is familiarize yourself with powerful jailbreak tweaks that augment your handset’s native functionality, and a new release called Hub by iOS developer iOSthemem0d is a great place to start whether you’re new to the jailbreaking scene or not.

As depicted in the screenshot examples above, Hub is an omni-functional interface where users can access a plethora of their iPhone’s most essential features in one place. Complete with shortcuts to toggles and apps, a faster way to multitask, and central access to handy on-the-fly modules, Hub is something that can benefit most people in more ways than one.

EmojiPicker brings a macOS-inspired Emoji interface to the iPad

It’s not very often that we see dedicated jailbreak tweaks for the iPad platform, and that’s one of the reasons why we’re particularly excited to show you a new and free release called EmojiPicker by iOS developer Gui Rambo.

As you might’ve ascertained already from the tweak’s rather telling name, EmojiPicker is intended to augment the Emoji-picking interface in iPadOS for whenever you need access to Emojis while typing in various apps.

BatteryRamp can help jailbroken iPhones charge more quickly

We all appreciate Low Power Mode for what it can do when our iPhone’s battery level gets a bit too low. With the flip of a switch, this feature lets users squeeze just a bit more time out of their near-drained battery, and it’s a godsend that Apple offers this feature on its iPhone platform.

Some even believe that using Low Power Mode while charging can increase the rate at which an iPhone charges by reducing simultaneous power drain. Building upon the likes of this curious idea is a newly released jailbreak tweak called BatteryRamp by iOS developer MegaDev.

Downgrades from iOS 13.5 halted as Apple stops signing iOS 13.4.1

Apple is no longer signing iOS or iPadOS 13.4.1 as of this evening, a move that prevents iPhone and iPad users from downgrading from the iOS and iPadOS 13.5 software updates that the Cupertino-based tech giant released to the general public just last week.

Downgrading iOS device firmware isn’t a common necessity, but it can be necessary if or when Apple releases a software update that introduces bugs or instability to its devices. This isn’t a particularly common thing to happen, but it did transpire last October when iOS 13.2 was found to be ‘too aggressive’ with backgrounding restrictions, compelling many users to downgrade until a software update could be released to fix the issue.
