Apple is curating movies, books, music, podcasts, and more for families staying at home

With school closures taking place all across the globe due to the global coronavirus pandemic, many companies are leaning into the idea of family-friendly content.

So it makes sense that Apple, which has a plethora of storefronts to get content from, is doing the same thing. Apple has launched curated titles across its services, covering podcasts, films, books, and more. Some of that content is available in the Kids section within the Apple TV app, which shouldn’t be a shock considering that particular tab is all about content for kids. Part of that includes promoting the Apple TV+ original shows Snoopy in Space, Ghostwriter, and The Helpsters.

It hasn’t even been a week since we saw Apple launch stay-at-home read-alongs for kids with Apple Books, which included plenty of free options as well. So you’ll find the same deal here now, with a variety of audiobooks to choose from so the whole family can follow along.

Apple Podcasts is promoting content from podcasts like Stories and Adventures and others. Meanwhile, the App Store is promoting family- and kid-friendly apps like GoNoodle, which is a fitness app for kids. Headspace, a meditation app, is allowing for free access for K-12 educators, supporting staff, and administrators. Want to get your kids into yoga? Well then, the app Cosmic Kids can help with that. There are other options to choose from as well.

And then there’s Apple Music. There are a variety of playlists to choose from if you’re a subscriber to Apple’s streaming music service. I’ve linked to a few just below:

It’s good to see Apple jumping on this train. We previously reported that Tidal, another music streaming service, launched a few different kid-friendly playlists.
