Jailbreak Dream Team to present at Hack In The Box conference in May

The Dream Team, consisting of p0sixninja, MuscleNerd, planetbeing, and pod2g, were the key developers among others who worked to release the A5 'Absinthe' jailbreak last month. All of these developers work hard to find exploits in Apple's devices to give us the necessary goods.

According to a tweet from p0sixninja, the Dream Team will be presenting at the Hack In The Box security conference, to be recognized for their jailbreaking efforts...

Pictures of iPad 3 leaked: more tapered edges and upgraded camera?

There have been plenty of rumors surrounding iPad 3 specs and launch date. The iPad 3 is rumored to have a Retina display, upgraded cameras, LTE, possibility of Siri, and a quad-core processor. Apple is rumored to announce the iPad 3 on March 7th, and ship it a few days later.

Tonight, Apple Daily has leaked some pretty interesting pictures of what they say is the iPad 3. They have posted a supposed over-head image of the iPad 3, revealing slightly more tapered edges and redesigned camera...

Analyst arrested for leaking iPhone sales projections

How many times have you come across an Apple-related rumor that came from an analyst and his "supply chain" sources? Just look at all of the Apple TV gossip — most of it can be traced back to Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster.

While we tend to write off most of their predictions, there are some analysts that actually know what they're talking about. But we don't see them very often, because the ones that do provide accurate information, usually go to jail...

Apple responds to ‘antennagate’ settlement

Yesterday, it was reported that a settlement was reached in the 'antennagate' lawsuit against Apple. The settlement includes Apple issuing a free iPhone bumper case or $15 to each US customer who purchased the iPhone 4. Apple has until April 30, 2012 to send an email out to every customer.

Responding to the settlement, Apple has issued a statement to The Loop...

iOS 5.1 to launch with new Notes app?

iOS 5.1 is rumored to launch around the same time as the iPad 3, with an abundance of new features. The new features include Japanese language support for Siri, a new camera slide button on the home screen, and the possibility of Siri support on the iPad 3. iOS 5.1 has been in beta for quite awhile, but hasn't hinted at any of these features.

iPhone Hellas has reportedly obtained a screenshot of a new robust note taking app that will be launched on iOS 5.1.

i0n1c gives advice to prepare for iOS 5.1 jailbreak, or does he really?

iOS hacker i0n1c came out of a long period of silence to tweet about a future iOS 5.1 jailbreak and a piece of advice to get ready for it.

According to a rather sarcastic tweet sent a few hours ago, i0n1c recommends everybody downloads KakaoTalk Messenger, a free application in the App Store that apparently hides some mysterious features, namely an exploitable vulnerability that can be used for an iOS 5.1 jailbreak...

Apple investigating new methods to detect water damage in iOS devices

The current method for detecting water damage on an iOS device is pretty ancient. Like other electronics, most of Apple's mobile products have liquid contact indicators that change colors when the device comes in contact with excessive moisture.

The problem with these indicators is that they can sometimes change colors without ever being submerged in water. For instance, heavy humidity can cause a device to appear as if it has suffered severe water damage. So Apple is looking to change things...

You can bypass Clear’s 30 character limit using Siri Dictation

Clear, the minimalistic, yet insanely stylish todo app is all the rage right now. Perhaps you've been enjoying it?

To maintain its simplistic look and feel, the developers imposed a 30 character limit for tasks, which is completely understandable — especially after you see what more than 30 characters looks like.

You can use Siri Dictation to outright bypass the 30 character limitation for a seemingly infinitely long task entry. Obviously this trick isn't amongst the most practical tricks in the book, but it's cool because, well, it can be done.

The painful process of updating a book purchased in the iBookstore

I've never been interested into reading books on my iPad or iPhone for a couple reasons. First, I spend all day staring at a screen, so when I want to relax and read a book, I want to look at anything but another screen. Second, and maybe more importantly, having developed bad carpal tunnel syndrome from spending too much time on a computer, I really don't need to make things worse by holding an iPad in my hand when I want to read.

This being said, I understand the practicality of reading books on an iPad or any eReader. You can fit many more books in an iPad than you could in the trunk of your car. Besides, this post isn't about why I like or dislike the iBookstore. It's about the process of updating a book purchased on it...

Apple settles ‘Antennagate’ lawsuit: free iPhone bumper or $15 for iPhone 4 owners

After the iPhone 4 was first launched, many users began to notice 3G reception issues when placing their palm over the antenna part of their iPhone 4. The issue was quickly dubbed the "antennagate" by bloggers.

While also receiving many complaints from customers and a few lawsuits, Apple quickly made free iPhone bumper cases available to everyone, which they said remedied the issue. The issue was fixed in iPhone 4s manufactured later.

One of those US class-action lawsuits is finally seeing a settlement, reports Cnet...

Apple posts guide to help new developers start creating apps

For those who have never dove into building iOS apps, it can be quite a difficult experience when first starting out. Apple has strict rules about what apps can and can't do that can be easily broken. Luckily, Apple is pretty good about giving assistance to new developers.

To help new developers move onto the iOS platform, Apple has posted a stylish guide titled "Start Developing iOS Apps Today", introducing them to what it takes to build an iOS app...
