New movies and shows coming to Apple TV+ in April 2022

March came and went, bringing with it at least one major new release in the form of Apple TV+'s grand family opera, Pachinko. This month might not be as epic, all things considered, but there are certainly some noteworthy new additions being added to Apple's video streaming library this month.

Apple TV+ has a lot of different content to watch these days. It's still not as extensive a library as, say, Disney+ or Netflix, but there's definitely something to watch. Like the Best Picture Oscar winner CODA, for instance. Or, of course, Ted Lasso. But, if you prefer something that falls more into the "thriller" category and you've already made your way through Truth Be Told, this new series starring Elisabeth Moss (The Invisible Man) might be what you're looking for.

Way back in March of 2021, we heard that Apple had secured a female-driven anthology series called Roar for Apple TV+. The upcoming show will focus on telling "darkly comic feminist fables," and, since it's an anthology series, it will tell a variety of different stories across its first season. What's more, it has a pretty stacked cast and talented folks behind the cast, too.

There's no definite timeline for production turnaround when it comes to a film or series. So, for example, despite the fact Slow Horses starring Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight, Darkest Hour) was initially confirmed to be heading to Apple TV+ in November of 2019, we still haven't been able to watch the series. Despite the fact other shows and films have been announced and launched between then and now.
