Watch the official trailer for the upcoming Apple TV+ series ‘Slow Horses’ starring Gary Oldman

There’s no definite timeline for production turnaround when it comes to a film or series. So, for example, despite the fact Slow Horses starring Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight, Darkest Hour) was initially confirmed to be heading to Apple TV+ in November of 2019, we still haven’t been able to watch the series. Despite the fact other shows and films have been announced and launched between then and now.

But, the good news is that the wait is almost over. Today, Apple TV+ has shared the official trailer for the upcoming espionage drama starring Oldman. He will be playing a character named Jackson Lamb, a spy that has to lead a bunch of other spies who have turned in career-ending mistakes. They are all holed up in what’s called Slough House, a sort of “dumping around” for MI5.

Slow Horses is set to premiere on Friday, April 1, 2022. Hopefully it isn’t an April Fool’s joke.

You can watch the trailer above. Here’s Apple’s official description of the upcoming show:

Slow Horses follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 – Slough House. Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but irascible leader of the spies who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes.

The series also stars Kristin Scott Thomas (Darkest Hour), Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes), Jack Lowden (Dunkirk), and Olivia Cooke (Sound of Metal). The show is based on the series of books with the same name written by Mick Herron.

Will Smith (Veep) will be writing the script for Slow Horses, while Graham Yost will be co-producing alongside Smith, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Gail Mutrux, Jamie Laurenson, Douglas Urbanski,  and Emile Sherman. This will mark the second production for Apple TV+ from Yost, who is also working on the announced Masters of the Air — a follow-up to the massively popular Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

This one looks like it will be plenty interesting. Good thing we don’t have much longer to wait for it.
