Glitch discovered in iOS 7.1 lets you hide stock apps

Folks who updated to iOS 7.1 earlier this month may be interested in this newly-discovered glitch that allows you to hide stock iOS apps. It's very similar to last year's Newsstand glitch, in that it involves a multi-step process and doesn't [obviously] require a jailbreak.

The glitch is present on both iPhones and iPads, and is relatively easy to exploit. All you have to do, essentially, is create a folder full of apps you wish to hide, drop it in another folder, and then remove it. Interested? Keep reading for a full step-by-step video tutorial...

Winocm shows off iPad triple-booting iOS 5.1, 6.1.3 and 7.0.6

This is pretty interesting. Hacker winocm has posted a new video of his iPad triple-booting into multiple versions of iOS. The clip shows his hacked tablet booting up and running in iOS 5.1, and then its ability to quickly switch to iOS 6.1.3 and iOS 7.0.6.

Winocm has made quite the name for himself around the jailbreak community as both a hacker and a tinkerer. Last week he posted a video of his jailbroken (untethered) iPhone 4 running iOS 7.1, and don't forget he helped iH8sn0w create p0sixspwn...

Sometimes you just want to switch up the look and feel of things, and that is what Color Keyboard for iOS 7 allows you to do. How to enable swipe-to-delete in the stock Clock app

I don't know about you guys, but I find it really annoying when there's not a swipe-to-delete option available in an application. One good example of this is found in the stock Clock app. On its world clock tab, you are forced to use the edit button in the upper left-hand corner in order to delete a clock.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could add swipe-to-delete functionality and cut the amount of gestures necessary to delete a clock down from three to two? That's the premise behind Edit Clocks—it makes deleting clocks found in the stock Clock app uber-intuitive and easy. Have a look at our video demonstration of the tweak in action after the break.

How to change the color of the Calendar icon’s text

Colendar is a brand new jailbreak tweak from developer Julian Weiss that allows you to change up the color of the text present on the stock Calendar app. The tweak, which is geared towards themers, also works with Ryan Petrich's Gregorian calendar app.

Included in Colendar's preferences are options to adjust the color of the day and date text and offset parameters for adjusting the location of the text assets as well. Have a look at our video walkthrough inside for more insight...

Video: excavators tearing through old HP buildings on iSpaceship site

An interesting video has popped up on YouTube seemingly depicting excavators tearing through old Hewlett-Packard office buildings on Apple's 176-acre parcel, the future home of the company's upcoming 2.8 million square foot ring-shaped iSpaceship headquarters, also known as Campus 2.

Apple received unanimous approval for the project from the Cupertino City Council last October, prompting the company to start demolishing the site the following month. A set of aerial photographs dated February 2014 show most of the existing buildings demolished so the video was most likely captured late last year...

How to place folders within folders on iOS 7.1

Just when the ability to create nested folders appeared to be removed from iOS 7.1, iPhone enthusiast Jose Rodriguez has revealed a simple new trick that allows you to once again place folders within folders on the latest software version. iDownloadBlog and multiple users confirm that this quick hack works as advertised on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running iOS 7.1. Winocm shows off untethered iOS 7.1 jailbreak on iPhone 4

Well known hacker and future Apple employee winocm posted a video demonstrating an untethered jailbreak of iOS 7.1 earlier today. The video, which he posted to YouTube, shows off what appears to be an untethered jailbreak on a Verizon iPhone 4.

In a brief tweet, winocm sent out a link to the video with the caption 'iOS 7.1 untethered boot.' Now, details regarding the clip are very scarce right now, but the fact it exists is fueling hope for folks on newer firmware wanting to jailbreak their devices...

Vimeo snatches up video-making iPhone app Cameo

For the second time in the past year, Vimeo has acquired an iOS app-maker. Following its purchase of Echograph, an app for creating GIFs, in early 2013, the video site has bought Cameo, an iPhone application for making short, high quality movies.

If you've never heard of Cameo before, that's probably because it just launched in October of last year. But it's been turning heads during its 6 months in the App Store—we named it one of our apps of the week, and Apple gave it a 'Best of 2013' award...

RollerCoaster Tycoon coming soon to iOS

I'm what you would call a '90's' kid. I grew up during the decade, watching cartoons like Doug and Rugrats and playing video games like Sim City. And over the years, I've seen a lot of these video games get remade for,or ported to, iOS—except for my favorite one: RollerCoaster Tycoon.

Well I'm happy to announce that this is going to change soon. Atari has confirmed via the original game's landing page that it is working on a mobile version of RollerCoaster Tycoon, and it will be coming to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch shortly. Oh and don't worry, we have a trailer...

As we noted before, the new feature will launch alongside an upcoming Asphalt 8 update that will add new cars, new maps and more. And Gameloft has just posted a great-looking trailer for the release, titled 'Welcome to the Great Wall,' which we've posted for you down below...
