As Cody told you a month ago, there’s a new Star Wars mobile game in the works. It’s called Star Wars: Uprising and set between the events of Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and the forthcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens film.
Wednesday, publisher Kablam shared a new video giving us a good overview of Uprising’s mechanics and overall gameplay.
Basically an action role-playing game, Uprising should release in a few weeks as a free-to-play download.
Star Wars fans have a lot to be excited about this year. There’s, of course, the new movie ‘The Force Awakens’ that’s coming out in December, and a handful of new console games are on the way. There’s also apparently a new RPG coming to mobile devices.
Publisher Kablam has begun teasing its upcoming role-playing game, Star Wars Uprising, which will debut on various mobile platforms later this year. It will serve as a bridge, connecting the events of Return of the Jedi and this year’s new Star Wars film.
The official teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens on Black Friday made its debut on iTunes. Lucas film yesterday tweeted that the trailer will hit iTunes after initially saying that it would only be shown in 30 movie theaters across the U.S. Disney in October 2012 acquired Lucasfilm in a transaction valued at a whopping $4 billion.
The acquisition brought Lucasfilm under Disney’s fold and gave the Mickey Mouse house rights to further develop the Star Wars franchise and film new movies in the series in co-operation with George Lucas. The trailer has also hit YouTube and we’ve embedded it for your viewing pleasure right after the break.
AMC and Finland-based Next Games have announced an upcoming mobile title called ‘The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land.’ The partners say the game will feature gameplay exclusively developed for smartphones and tablet devices.
This is the second mobile game we’ve seen for the popular zombie franchise, but unlike Telltale Games’ Walking Dead series, which is based on the comic books, this game is based on the hit TV show. Check out the teaser trailer below…

Great news this morning for all of you Final Fantasy fans. Following the release of Hitman Go last week, Square Enix has posted a new trailer for its upcoming free-to-play game: ‘Final Fantasy Agito.’ It’s going to be an RPG title, made specifically for smartphones and tablets.
The game takes place in Orience, a land divided between four nations in a state of near-constant war: the Fiefdom of Rubrum, the Milites Empire, the Lorican Alliance and the Kingdom of Concordia. The main character is a cadet training as Agito, tasked with preventing destruction…
Good news jailbreakers. The dev group A3 tweaks announced earlier today that Auxo 2, the highly anticipated sequel to their original jailbreak tweak, is nearing completion and should be ready for release sometime this week.
We first saw evidence of Auxo 2 at the beginning of the month, when the group’s UI designer Sentry posted a pair of 6-second video clips teasing some of the tweak’s features. And today, a much longer trailer has been posted…
Good news for gamers this afternoon, as it’s been announced that the popular PC/Mac title Faster Than Light will be making its way to the iPad next week. The developers announced the release date via the official FTL Twitter account, and said it will be accompanied by a free desktop content expansion pack.
For those who are unfamiliar with FTL, it’s a top-down, real-time strategy game that has players managing a crew and its faster-than-light spacecraft as it flies through multiple galaxy systems. In it, you’ll face off against rebel and other hostile forces, recruit new crew members and ensure your ship’s safety…
