Sileo v1.7.1 officially released for Chimera and checkra1n jailbreak users

The Sileo Team took to Twitter late Wednesday evening to share that it had released an updated version of the Sileo package manager dubbed v1.7.1 with various improvements, but that wasn’t all. The Tweet also noted that the new Sileo build was available for both Chimera and checkra1n jailbreak users.

The Sileo Team attempted a checkra1n port for its Sileo package manager just before the new year, and despite a flaky initial release that quickly crashed and burned, it now seems that the Sileo Team is making a second attempt – this time with some help from Diatrus, a name that might sound familiar if you’ve ever used an unofficial Sileo port before.

Unc0ver v4.0.3 update resolves prominent App Store bug, and more

The unc0ver jailbreak only just picked up official support for iOS 13.0-13.3 on A12(X)-A13 devices this past weekend. Given just how young the new support is, it’s not overly surprising to learn that there were some bugs that needed to squashed.

In a Tweet shared just this afternoon, Pwn20wnd announced the release of an updated version of the unc0ver jailbreak dubbed version 4.0.3 with important bug fixes:

Unc0ver v4.0.2 released to address issues with jailbreaking iOS 13.0-13.2.3

The unc0ver jailbreak received official support for iOS 13.0-13.3 on A12(X)-A13 devices over the weekend thanks to Brandon Azad's OOB Timestamp tfp0 exploit, but from what we can gather, the release wasn’t without its initial flaws as a plethora of users reported issues when trying to jailbreak versions of iOS older than that of 13.3.

Fortunately for those affected by the aforementioned issues, Pwn20wnd has released yet another update for unc0ver to address them, this time bringing the jailbreak tool up to version 4.0.2. The hacker announced the update via Twitter just this afternoon:

Sileo v1.7.0 beta 2 brings further speed improvements to the app

The Sileo Team pushed an updated public beta version of the Sileo package manager for the Electra (iOS 11) and Chimera (iOS 12) jailbreaks Sunday evening, officially bringing the project up to version 1.7.0 beta 2.

The announcement, shared mere minutes ago via the Sileo Team’s official Twitter page, denotes several improvements in the latest beta release:

How to install the unc0ver jailbreak on iOS 11.0-14.8 with AltStore

The unc0ver jailbreak supports a semi-untethered jailbreak on iOS & iPadOS 14.0-14.3 and a fully unethered jailbreak on arm64e devices (iPhone XS and later) running iOS 14.4-14.5.1, which means that the tool is now compatible with all versions of iOS & iPadOS ranging from 11.0-14.3 (and 14.4-14.5.1 with a big asterisk). To date, AltStore is the best and most reliable way to install the unc0ver jailbreak app on your iPhone or iPad.

As long as your iPhone or iPad is running running iOS or iPadOS 12.2 or later, then you can use AltStore to install the unc0ver jailbreak, and in this tutorial, we walk you through the steps necessary to make it happen so you can reap all the benefits.

Unc0ver jailbreak updated to v4.0.1 with bug fixes and improvements

It was only yesterday that Pwn20wnd released unc0ver v4.0.0 to the general public with official support for iOS 13.0-13.3 on A12(X)-A13 equipped devices. In doing so, unc0ver became the first public jailbreak to support A13 devices, and also the first public jailbreak to support iOS 13 on A12(X) devices. But that’s old news now.

On Sunday, Pwn20wnd released a small update for the unc0ver jailbreak, officially bringing it up to version 4.0.1. The hacker announced the latest update via Twitter earlier in the afternoon:

Unc0ver v4.0.0 adds support for A12(X)-A13 devices on iOS 13.0-13.3

Those who’ve keenly waited for the unc0ver jailbreak to officially support A12-A13 devices running iOS 13.0-13.3 devices by way of Brandon Azad’s oob_timestamp tfp0 exploit will be happy to know that the wait is finally over.

In a Tweet shared just this afternoon, project lead developer Pwn20wnd launched unc0ver v4.0.0 with support for the aforementioned device types and firmware versions:

Critical bug fix for Substrate Safe Mode released for checkra1n and unc0ver users

If you’re using a modern jailbreak that uses Cydia Substrate as its primary means of tweak injection, be it checkra1n or unc0ver, then today might be a good time to fire up your preferred package manager and refresh your sources.

Substrate Safe Mode appears to have been updated to version 0.9.6003 with a critical bug fix. The checkra1n team shared the announcement in a Tweet delivered early Friday morning:

Planning to use unc0ver to pwn your iOS 13.0-13.3 A12(X)-A13 device? Get AltStore now

The unc0ver jailbreak is so close to publicly supporting iOS 13.0-13.3 on A12(X)-A13 that we can almost taste it. Support for Brandon Azad’s new oob_timestamp exploit was pushed into internal beta testing yesterday afternoon, and according to Pwn20wnd, unc0ver could be publicly available in the next 24 hours or so if everything goes smoothly.

Assuming you managed to downgrade to iOS 13.3 from iOS 13.3.1 before Apple stopped signing it yesterday or already had some version of iOS 13 installed between 13.0-13.3, you’re probably wondering what you can do to prepare your jailbreakable handset. If that’s the case, then we’d advise setting up AltStore on your Mac or PC.

Apple stops signing iOS 13.3 as updated unc0ver jailbreak nears public release

Apple must’ve caught wind about Pwn20wnd’s fast-paced progress on updated the unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 13.0-13.3. Not even a few hours after internal beta testers hyped the project on Twitter with the #unc0ver hashtag, Apple officially closed the signing window for iOS 13.3 to prevent downgrades from iOS 13.3.1.

Apple’s swift blow to iOS downgrading on Wednesday was somewhat out of character for the company because it transpired much earlier in the day than usual. While Apple regularly unsigns older firmware, the abruptness of iOS 13.3’s unsigning after Pwn20wnd’s slurry of announcements regarding unc0ver suggests that Apple intended to contain the jailbreak situation before it could reach the masses.

Unc0ver enters internal testing with support for A12(X)-A13 running iOS 13.0-13.3

Hot off the heels of a plethora of teasers that have been shared over the course of the past couple of weeks, Pwn20wnd has officially commenced an internal beta testing phase for the unc0ver jailbreak with iOS 13.0-13.3 support on A12(X)-A13 as of Wednesday afternoon – a feat made possible with Brandon Azad’s oob_timestamp tfp0 exploit.

The news surfaced by way of Pwn20wnd’s official Twitter account, which earlier this morning noted that unc0ver would soon move into the internal testing phase. A few short hours later, internal testing officially began:

Pwn20wnd prepares for internal beta testing as unc0ver for iOS 13 takes shape

There’s been a ton of hype recently regarding Pwn20wnd updating the unc0ver jailbreak with official support for iOS 13.0-13.3 on A12(X)-A13 devices as of late, a feat only possible with Brandon Azad’s new oob_timestamp tfp0 exploit. But just how far along has the tool’s development come? A good question, and presumably one that has already been answered.

According to a series of Tweets shared by Pwn20wnd Tuesday afternoon, it would seem that tweak injection has been updated to work flawlessly on A13 devices (it was already working on A12[X]):
