ReachBoard lets you peek at your iOS clipboard in the Reachability view

For a lot of people, the space that comes up when you invoke Reachability is considered wasted space. It becomes a giant gaping hole of nothingness on your screen any time you use the feature to one-handedly use your large-screened iPhone.

A new free jailbreak tweak called ReachBoard aims to make good use of that empty space by filling it with anything that may be residing in your clipboard.

Security software development firm Malwarebytes has just exposed what could be the first known case of Mac malware for the year of 2017.

Jailbreak tweaks of the week: OnceMore, Photicon, & more…

Why to avoid third-party Cydia Substrate “patches” for the iOS 10 beta jailbreak

Yesterday, we shared our fullest opinion of why you should avoid jailbreaking with Luca Todesco’s beta jailbreak for iOS 10 until it’s out of its beta stages, but for those who’ve went ahead with it anyway because nostalgia got the best of them, there’s another difficult choice to make…

Cydia Substrate is disabled by default, and amid the nostalgia, many are already using third-party “fixes” or “patches” to get around this. Of course, there’s a reason Cydia Substrate is disabled by default, and those who’ve gotten as far as jailbreaking also have to decide whether or not to install these patches.

In this piece, I will attempt to eliminate some of the confusion about why Cydia Substrate is disabled by default and why you should avoid installing these third-party “fixes” to get around it.

TwitterThemeToggler makes it much easier to toggle Night Mode in the Twitter app

Image showing a blue Twitter bird with a black shadow set against an all-white background

One of the saving graces of using Twitter at night is the built-in night mode theme that lets you cut down on all the white space by switching to it a darker background with light text.

Once you enable this dark mode, your eyes can finally take the load off and stop straining, but Twitter doesn’t exactly make toggling this feature on and off a cinch. That’s where a new free jailbreak tweak called TwitterThemeToggler comes into play.

Error messages popping up from failed automatic iOS updates? Here’s the fix

Your iPhone and/or iPad can perform over the air (OTA) software updates automatically during the night while you're sleeping, so long as it’s connected to a power source and you've given it permission first. While this feature is incredibly convenient for anyone who doesn’t have the time to wait for software updates during the day, it can sometimes be problematic.

There are all kinds of error messages that might pop up, but one of the more common messages you may come across, especially on iOS 10 devices, will look a lot like the one you see above. In this piece, we’ll talk about troubleshooting steps you can take to fix various types of similar error messages once and for all and get your device up to date.
