New iPhone and iPod Touch Models Show Up in Apple’s Inventory

We are still trying to piece together some sort of picture of what Apple will be unveiling next week. The Cupertino company has done a pretty good job so far of keeping its Fall plans a secret. The stuff we think we know at this point is only based on speculation.

9to5Mac added some more pieces to the puzzle this morning by reporting that 5 new products have turned up in Apple's inventory. The first three devices appear to be new iPod touches, and the other two? Well, the other two are new iPhone models...

If you've been planning on buying an iPod Classic or iPod Shuffle, now would be a good time to do so.

Last night, TUAW corroborated an earlier report from 9to5Mac that Apple is looking to discontinue the iPod Classic and iPod Shuffle. The "product transition" that Apple hinted at during its last earnings call is apparently within the iPod product line. TUAW's source has said that Apple will axe the two iPods this year, presumably at Tuesday's event...

Don't worry, this isn't your typical iPhone 5 rumor — we're getting just as sick of them as you are. This is a possible theory on how accessory manufacturers were able to make cases for the purported iPhone 5, months before Apple announced it.

M.I.C gadget is reporting that it has heard from an accessory shop located in Shenzhen, China that a Foxconn employee was paid to sneak the handset out of the plant. The device was then sold to a case manufacturer for roughly $3,100. Read on...

For months, analysts and pundits have speculated that Apple will be unveiling two new iPhone models this year. One would be the usual model refresh, and the other would be a low-end smartphone to help make inroads with the prepaid market.

Thankfully, the speculation will soon be over, as Apple finally announced its iPhone event slated for next Tuesday. Although the two model rumor is slowly losing traction, MacRumors has uncovered something interesting regarding the theory...

This morning, Apple finally announced the event where the company will unveil the new iPhone 5. The event will be held in Cupertino, on Apple's campus, on October 4th at 10am. And according to the invite, the company will only announce one iPhone.

What we're not sure yet is the launch date of the next iPhone. There have been countless rumors within the last few weeks, but nothing really credible. But this morning, The Next Web got word from a reliable source on the official launch date of the iPhone 5...

Did Apple Just Sneakily Confirm That We’ll Only See One New iPhone?

Today Apple sent out invites for its October 4th media event where the curtain will be lifted on all things iPhone.

Interestingly, the image that Apple used on the invites may provide a clue as to what we can see come October 4th at 10:00am PST.

The image contains the Apple 1 Infinite Loop campus in the Maps app (where the event will be held), the correct date (Calendar app), the correct time (Clock app), and one more little interesting tidbit...

With Apple expected to release iOS 5 to the public in the next few weeks, more and more details are coming out of the woodwork. The Cupertino company only demonstrated 10 of the software's 200+ new features in June, so there's a lot of room for discoveries.

Earlier today we told you about iOS 5's secret Assistant feature, the Siri-based voice control system that will set Apple's mobile OS apart from the competition. Now there is news coming in that the software will also include Facebook integration...

Mashable just dropped somewhat of a bomb in the iOS world. According to the website, Facebook will be launching its long-awaited iPad app at the iPhone 5 event, which will most likely be scheduled next week.

Apple Reportedly Cutting iPad Orders by 25% [Updated]

Are things not looking so bright for Apple? A report by JP Morgan this morning claims that the company has been cutting iPad orders from vendors. Several of those supply-chain vendors indicated that Apple cut iPad orders for the 4th quarter of 2011 by 25%.
